this is one of the best vegas channels on youtube. easy to listen to, you don't drag anything out, and you show a bit of the history - great content!

Yep. And they show all aspects. Some of the more popular ones don’t really even show the casino floor.

I haven't been to Fremont Street for 30+ years! This blog is the best one I've seen illustrating locations & hotels .Thanks! It's helpful to see where resorts are in relation to other points of interest. I'm tempted to go back during my next LV visit, but kinda worried about safety as I'm an older solitary traveler!
@drewgrows77652 күн бұрын
Its entertaining to walk it once every 5 years

Safety shouldn't be a problem. Will you like the atmosphere? That's questionable! Thanks for watching!

Pre 1995, when the canopy went up over Freemont, was a totally different experience IMO. It's a total circus, borderline freak show now. A friend told me the Glitter Gulch gentlemen's club was good back in the day too. Great vid.

Nice video as usual Jordan! I'm old enough to remember the downtown area before the canopy was built and thought it was shameful to end that old school style for what became the Fremont Street Experience. I guess change is the only constant in our world! I enjoy the street walking tours as much as the property videos you and Ashden present. Thank you!

Hey Jordan! You forgot to mention Le Thai, which was right before you cross the street from the El Cortez. They have the best Thai food ever! And also across the street from that is a great burger joint called Eureka! Thanks for the walking tour. Happy holidays to you and your wife!🎉🥂🎄

Great video! Went to Fremont in 2019 with my then GF now my wife during my 1st Vegas trip and it was enjoyable! Didn't get a chance earlier this year 2024 when we went. Hopefully next time we will get to check it out.

Longtime Vegas traveler. Fremont street is my regular go-to in Vegas, I can stretch my money many times over, and i love the vibe there. It feels like "Real" Vegas.

Solid video Jordan. Great ending at El Cortez as well. El Cortez sadly no longer has single deck blackjack, which has kept some of us away. Always feel nostalgic watching any video referencing EC. Thanks for the video. Merry Christmas to you and your family !

I remember as a kid in the 70s, any time they showed Vegas they showed Glitter Gulch And the Mint was by far the most eye catching and cool.

Had a brilliant meal at Pizza Rock last week of September. Monday to Thursday 3-6 Happy Hour. We stumbled on the Happy Hour by accident, however less than $65 including tip for two and we didn’t cheap out. Amazing pizza, meatballs and garlic bread - Jordan is correct, amazing and best pizza in Vegas

We sat at the bar and ate there this summer and our meal was fantastic. Pizza is always better ordered as a whole pie!

Glad u are [finally] giving D'town sum luv...I'm a veteran Vegas guy that stays away from the strip and majority of my time/$ stays D'town. I do enjoy your strip content so I can stay up to speed on what's happenin over ther, still dont go ther tho. Ha! More D'town is a good thing!!! 👍

I’ve moved and love downtown now for about a years. Container park area. It’s fun. I feel safe. I see other people walking around and they feel safe too. I personally feel safer walking around Main Street Fremont and Carson st vs parts of the strip

Heading out next weekend for new years. Im definitely spending more time downtown and on Fremont. I don’t hate the strip, but the prices are undeniably better off of it

The "D" was originally the Sundance. It was the last hotel-casino owned by the mob. The government took it from them, closed it, sold it and it re-opened as the Fitz. It was a great hotel when it was the Sundance. Stayed there many times.

Awesome! Would you stay at the Grand or El Cortez and stay out late? With the rented security and LVMPD, I would rather hang out on Fremont Street at midnight than my city's downtown. But, that I'd based on my stay at the GN.
@ShowMeVegasКүн бұрын
I wouldn't hesitate to walk to either of those late at night. They're super close and there are plenty of people (and security) around.

Been to Oscar's and I've been to Hugo's Cellar, both are good but I'd say Hugo's Cellar is better bang for your buck. Also, Fremont East also has the good Thai restaurant/bar Le Thai. It isn't Lotus of Siam level good but it's good Thai and drinks at a reasonable price. And just off Fremont, not too far from the Grand, is the Mob Museum and Speakeasy. Speakeasy is interesting in that they try to bring back (or recreate) mixology recipes from the prohibition era

Don't think I would like Circa. Don't like Golden Gate. Used to like to play in the Pioneer Club. Golden Nugget is a really nice Hotel/Casino. Binions Casino was really nice. The Experience is a lot larger than it used to be. What my wife like about Fremont Street was it was all the Hotel/Casinos were walkable. Easier than on Las Vegas Blvd. Do hotels still have Keno runners? Haven't been to a White Castle in almost forty years. The Police station didn't exist years ago. Don't really like bars. El Cortez has a nice casino. Am subscribed and hit the like button. This was a good video.

Stayed at the Plaza, Fremont and the El Cortez. The Plaza was terrible, they put me in the South tower which was a depressing disappointment. Never going back. The Fremont was cool, fresh redone rooms although small. The El Cortez was great and the old nostalgic vibe. I stayed in the 47 room was great, large room big tv 100.00 a night even on Friday.
@ShowMeVegasКүн бұрын
Having never stayed at the Plaza, I imagine that when I do I will specifically ask for the south tower to avoid the noise of Fremont Street. El Cortez is on the bucket list as well. Thanks for watching!

Pro tip: There are some LOOSE slots in the back corners of Golden Gate. I also won the most money I've ever won at a bar video blackjack machine at Golden Gate: I put in $50 just to waste some time and get some free drinks ... and about 90 minutes later I walked away with more than $700.
