FRENCH ALPS | Visiting Barcelonnette, Hiking & Waterfalls
We decided it was time to step away from the city and visit the French Alps. I am so glad we decided to get away and visit Barcelonnette, Paul and I enjoyed being in nature by taking a hike to a waterfall. Barcelonnette is filled with many outdoor activities such as water rafting, skiing, and tons of hiking trails. I highly recommend visiting the French Alps to take a step back from the city life and breathe in the fresh air and be one with nature. I hope you guys enjoy visiting the Alps with us.

Helloooo. Yes, a beautiful place indeed. One of my cousin is living there and as my wife is Mexican as you know, we Must go there soon 😉. Talking about country landscapes, I'm living in Paris but born in Besançon. This is La Franche-Comté. And specifically le Haut-Doubs is the place to be if you like nature, pines forests and cows bells 👌

I actually didn’t even know that’s where I was. I looked at the map and I believe it might be right outside of it. I haven’t visited that museum yet but I love the recommendation, I’ll definitely look into it. Thanks for all your support Darius!

2 questions: First, what was the length in time and distance for travel relative to where you live. Second, why do you think they had Mexican tidbits? Catering to a culture of frequent visitors or just a niche they thought would be fun to offer? Just curious?

It’s about a 2hr drive from Aix. The reason is because some men made a fortune on textiles in Mexico. When they returned they built villas and I guess brought inspiration from Mexico with them.
