Our 11 year old pug had a full seizure recently - it was the first one he's had and it was terrifying. Very similar yo what you see in your video. It's very helpful to see this. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing this. We had this happen for the first time a few days ago to my 10 year old Frenchie. Scariest moment of my life. It was exactly the same as this but Ella was a lot more stressed out afterwards. A lot more mouth foaming and pooped all over the place. It makes me feel better to see that what happened to her is normal. As normal as epilepsy can be.

Uhhhh it's not normal.. these type of dogs are known for having lack of air going to the lungs which is effecting their brain.. wtf

@@dinosehic4158 it's not uncommon. However the reasons may vary. It can be just an epileptic dog(who can live a normal life with the proper medication). But it can also be something like a brain tumor, organ failure, or poisoning. My Frenchie is 8 he moved in with us when He was 5. And this year he got his first episode after followed 5 more episodes. He just got tested some days ago (MRI scan). Currently waiting on the results.

@@GabeeLucky thank god this isn’t an actual dog then I’d feel terrible! These obnoxious spoiled snorting gremlins are ugly and useless! They can’t even mate or give birth naturally! They can’t swim! They can’t even BREATHE!! If it wasn’t for humans spoiling these obnoxious snorting gremlins evolution would kill these things off within hours! People calling them dogs is a disgrace to the canine species!!

Damn man seeing these dogs go thru things makes me run and grab mine and just hug her!! Glad your a awesome human and there for her!! She needs you just as much maybe less honestly then we need them!! My French bulldog is everything to me, yea actually I do need my French bulldog more than she needs me and she has no idea how much more I need her… I’ll keep that a secret from her forever tho 😂😂 glad this dog has you man!! 👏🏻👊🏻

This is great. Thanks for sharing. Our Frenchie started having these last week at almost 2 years old. Vet thought it was heatstroke. Numerous tests ruled other things out. We start on epilepsy meds tomorrow.

My dog makes freezes, and makes those noises in quick succession, then seems disoriented afterwards. None of the jerking, urinating or defecation though. Could these still be seizures?

My frenchie is currently having seizures . He is literally at the ER vet right now . They said he had another seizures . They started him already on keppra and he had one dose and he already had another grand Mal and some focal seizures . If he continues they said they would start him on phenobarbital . Is this expensive ? I heard we need to get frequent labs to check his lover / kidney labs

Batucan günyeli i took him immediately to the vet and she gave me valium at first but then he 11 fits in 4 days so she gave me phenobarbital half tablet a day...its going better still having fits 3 a day but really really light fits but now he s getting aggressive hunger its there side effect and if i dont feed him he ll get a fit cause he s accited...dont know what else can i do for him i cant feed him all the time...

tolagames Yes we now keep Valium at home but we rarely use it, she takes phenobarbitol and potassium bromide twice daily. She used to have about 3 or 4 fits every day, now she has one every few weeks - Indeed they get hungrier but you just have to try not to feed them too much because if they put on weight it affects their dosage. Hi, How is your baby doing? My girl started to show similar symptoms since 2 wks ago. Had major seizures about twice and a short one almost everyday. It seems like it gets worse at night time while sleeping... She pees while having seizures and do not breath. I am so worried about her...

ranniberry Hey try not to worry too much - Speak to a Vet about Phenobarbitol/Potassium Bromide. The seizures are mostly controllable under good dosage of medication. Peeing is normal during the seizures, just try to keep some paper towel close. Keep talking to her and just make sure shes in a place where she cant hurt herself. When ours has bad seizures we usually administer Valium anally through a plastic syringe, but we only use that if she has more than one or two seizures which is quite rare

Unfortunately (as amazing as cbd is) it did not help her recover. She had potassium bromide (I can't even remember is this was the actual stuff) and a few other pills that helped her so much. She was my little piggy and I would have gone to the moon and back for her. Trust me, we tried everything. But 14 years aint bad for this little piggy

I have a nine week old French bulldog puppy who has epilepsy is their any special foods you can give him, he is also partially blind, in his left eye, I will give him everything I possibly can as much love and care and the best foods and constant care but I have been told gaia could possibly grow out of this is this true, gaia deserves the best and he will get this with all the knowledge I can get from other French bulldog owners, please can anyone give any advice, I also believe in natural products as French's also have various allergies, but gaia is a fighter and so am I, I would rather have animals than people no offence to anyone, I believe that's what God put me on earth for to love and protect his creatures, AND I do.
