You can classify first and second variation: 1st variation: memorize (no other way) 2nd variation: these are the verbs ending with 'rir' My teacher is great she taught me many technique class😊

Good question! Unfortunately, I can't answer it. We would need to go back hundreds of years and ask the people who formulated the language. This Wikipedia entry is a great starting point for studying why Spanish is the way it is (influences from other languages, spelling mistakes by ancient translators, convenience...): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Spanish_language
