I love watching your journey and cannot wait to see the final result of your renovations. It is silly that I still want to explore with people renovating like that I am about to do the same. I did watch many programs and studied renovation magazines for years before we made our own house. Twice. LOL. But who knows, maybe new project will come from somewhere so I am looking and still learning. I have an idea for you about splashback tiles: lately everyone is going with blue and white Delft style tiles like that they are the only ones really 'French' while they are Dutch..!.You are right, nothing wrong with blue and white, but it sort of influences the rest of a decor. I know that very French tiles that I love (LOVE) like many things from the same period are just 120 years old and you are maybe looking for something earlier... but Art Nouveau tiles, lamps, glassware, fireplace cast iron surrounds.. are just so beautiful. I am adding a link to Pinterest page with pictures of my kitchen fitted with some of art nouveau tiles that I collected ..They are of different thickness and mostly about 15 x 15 cm and I combined them with plane cream/bisque coloured one in matt and gloss finish (that I was so lucky to find!) so that they do not overpower. Maybe this will inspire to make your third kitchen a bit different..? I cannot wait to see you come back and carry on with reno.. You have all the elements of what I've imagined of a rustic Parisian farm 🏠😊 It was a nice and unexpected surprise seeing the pool, which I love because I love to swim. I cannot wait to see the finished kitchen. I really like the ones at 9:56, 10:44, 11:48, 11:55 and 14:26. I always imagined some kind of brick or terracotta floor. I liked that gleaming white tile also Lyn. I know the vines can sometimes cause damage, but Im secretly hoping you can find a way to keep the look of some vines overgrowing. How lovely it's going to be drinking 🍵 or ☕ or lemonade early mornings 🌅 and hot summer afternoons when you build the new deck. 🏡 🍾 🍷 🧀 🥖 🍇 🍰 😍
