Brought back lots of French salt, French butter, cheese, bouquet garni bouillon cubes, French olive oil, French lentils, canned fish, cookies and little cakes that you had recommended in previous videos. Flew back to US and had no problems. Bought all the cheese at a small specialty cheese shop and they air sealed them and were aware of restrictions for most countries. Of all the things I bought there, wish I’d brought back a suitcase full of the bouquet garni bouillon cubes. Something you cannot find in the US and so delicious to add to anything. Especially French lentils!

I just found this video by accident. I live in a big French city and it’s quite fascinating to follow a trip around a typical French supermarket, full of typical French stuff, as seen by a visitor. There are Monoprix all over France. Many comments mention the small, folded reusable bags. About 2 years ago I bought one in the Monoprix in Versailles - yes, they have a Monoprix in Versailles - with the Fleur de lys (the symbol of French monarchy) motif! As I had never seen that before I wondered if they were only available in towns with a royal château. I checked in the Monoprix in Compiègne and Fontainebleau, to no avail. I thought no more about it and about a year later they turned up in my local Monoprix which has absolutely no royal/aristocratic connection! So the Fleur de lys for all! Liberté, égalité, fraternité. A very interesting and entertaining video. 👍 🇫🇷🐓⚜

Hello, your videos are so happy and relaxing to watch and I respect how much actually goes in to making them. I live in a relatively small city outside of Toronto Ontario and we can buy the bread at time stamp 4:00 minutes in. It makes fantastic French toast. Pun intended. LOL We can also buy the lovely jam at minute 6 and a few of the other items are here too but I'd love to be buying them from Paris. I buy the fleur de sel quite often but wow, I pay about 2.5 times as much. Time to buy online. Have a lovely day all.

Not sure how this applies to other countries but definitely don't plan to bring any charcuterie into the states. It will be tossed once you get through customs. Sadly, I learned this the hard way, trying to bring 😢some amazing Iberian ham from Spain. The memories still pains me!

This is so fun! We’ll be in Paris July 31-Aug 10, partly for the Olympics, partly for Chateaux, Giverney, etc., and we have to hit a Monoprix and check out all these cute things! Great video!

I love your chsnnel and all your informed decisions and opinions❤️ I have been watching your apartment take shape and one thing I have learned is that every apartment needs a bold statement with a big poster or painting over the couch. So when you were placing small prints above the couch I felt the need to send you my comment. Again love your channel and Jean is fun and funny!

I usually shop at Casino. I always bring home there washing tablets. I know strange. Then I get Lu biscuit/crackers Le petit beurre. We don´t have them and Kiri cheese that we now can get here. Those two together is amazing. I also get the mixed peppar (we can get that here now but not before). And last herbes de Provence.

I really enjoy visiting grocery stores in other countries and bringing home treats. If folks have a Lidl nearby you can often find European imports there at low prices (of course just a small selection). I brought back a large bag of herbes de Provence from Provence that I really enjoy.

Hello! One question…Are there Monoprix stores outside of Paris and if so, do you think the prices would be lower in the smaller towns? I love your videos…they are so informative! I love how real you are and that you tell the truth instead of trying to make everything sound so idyllic. Thank you and keep up the awesome content!!

Most of times, it is cheaper outside of Paris (not only for Monoprix). And Monoprix is the most expensive store (of its category and size)

Hi, I can tell you that Monoprix is a nationwide chain 😍. Also, I've seen branches labelled as Monop', which seem to be smaller, city-based branches; so go for ones called the full "Monoprix"!.

Hi, I love all these suggestions… I will need an extra suitcase for all those treats. Just a comment I just came back from Barcelona and was stop because I had bought a ham sandwich at the airport, didn’t eat it… and didn’t know you have to declare when you bring cured meat into the US…no biggy they just took the sandwich..lol..lesson learned.

Anything more than a few cents or even $1, would be considered as unreasonably expensive to most of us Americans, even those who have no problem spending more than $100 on things they truly don’t need but want 😂😂😂 also me personally, if I’m in a foreign country I’m making it a thing that I can only get the true authentic food and snacks of those countries, and not something that I could get in America that’s flavored something from a different country.
