How much of a learning curve is it to go from the trumpet to the horn

not that bad :) I played trumpet for two and a half years before switching to french horn and I love it so much, I picked it up and learned two scales the first day, and half a year into it I auditioned for my local youth symphony and made it in. Once you switch, if you practice like 10 minutes everyday, the change will seem to come comfortably and in no time. good luck if you decide to switch over!
