Brilliant indeed. Of course his 5th and 9th are most recognized, but his 3rd and 6th are my favorites, not necessarily in that order. Just the one I am listening to at the moment. I consider myself to be a good engineer, but, I could never produce something so magically wonderful that has lasted for centuries and will last for many more.

We love Le Concert des Nations' work, however, why so many longer Telemannn pieces in a single concert?! A more eclectic program would have reached far more people, unless the purpose was to reach only Baroque specialists and technicians.

Brandenburg recordings on KZbin oftem sound overstuffed without dimension, but these are alive. (I remember first loving these pieces when I was teenager. It was early Springtime and the treebuds like jewels in the bright sun.) Perhaps some recordings are from yesteryear and someoe tries to remix them digitally? And sometimes the forces are too large for this music. Neither works. This small chamber group is perfect. I'm on cloud 9... albeit temporarily, but that's life. Thanks to these musicians and recording engineers who love beauty and dedicate themselves to it.

There are so many versions of the Brandendurgs on KZbin that are recorded badly making them sound like a wall of sound without dimension. This one is very nice and sounds human in the best sense. Thanks!
