Build large building, buy several old classic American cars, restore them ..gradually. That's my 'Note To Self'. This type of video is better than any art gallery I've been to in my life. Save them ALL, especially those Cadillacs. Right, back to real life now -got to work in my always reliable, but rather boring CVT Honda Jazz. Oh, GREAT VIDEO -btw !!!

Agree rust here in Winnipeg kills your car but we use more sand. On my 47 Chevy no rust and it’s a Manitoba car since 80’s but not driven. The only rust is under drivers door from water sitting. But a lot of the older one parked have okay bodies but same type driven has been killed by rust. Like 80’s Chevy trucks. If parked bodies are okay with a little rust but if driven after 90’s eaten away.

A friendly HELLO from germany, Bavaria!👋😃 & THANK YOU VERY MUCH 4 this nice Video about this amazing yard🍀👍 Looking Videos about "junk" yards of America is a big thing for me, because it's the only way for me to get a look of those amazing places with all those beautiful US classic cars. I wish i life at USA🇺🇸 you could be sure that you could find me every day at a place like this 😅😂😋 At germany gouvernemental regulations killed all places like this with all those beautiful classic cars...i think that & crushing cars is a crime😓... I really hope people at USA know that these yards with those cats are worth to save it & that old cars have to be saved, not crushed... because every old car would be a project car or parts for future car guys and are saveable for the great history of america with the Automobile.☺ I'm a great fan of American cars since i was in an age of~4, so my whole life my heart is pumping for US cars☺... So i followed my heart and bought a '67 Chevy CapriceImpala 4 Door Hardtop/SportSedan what i'm still restoring with my 70 years old father. We're Not rich people, but very good craftsman guys. And because we've no yard like this we has/had to rebuild all about the rusty body by our own hands. All 4 wheel arches at the fenders/quarters, dog legs, the whole lower windshield frame & many more we rebuilded all out of new sheet metal... hammered welded grinded till we get back a rustfree condition like new👷 I see at the Video that there are some '67/68 fullsize Chevys which could help me with parts. If i had that option to get parts of those cars, you could be sure that the restoration peogress would be a lot more or finished yet. But with the way of rebuild an front fender with rusty wheel arches save another fender for another Car. And If more people would restore, really RESTORE parts, then soo many cars could be on the roads and wouldn't be end as "Parts Cars" or something else. I know that most people have not that craftsman talents. BUT, i didn't know about that skills about rebuilding sheet metal before I started with that work. I was very good about rebuilding engines and all other things to do at a car. I learned soo much with this project that i could tell you, that my study & work as a automechanic could not give me that skills in years. So iboften say to other car guys, that they have to start with that kind of work with rebuild an front fender or something else. They would see that this isn't a bad work. And that so really really the most of the cars what are called "parts-cars" or something else like that are restorable, saveable and are worth that work☺ so when i look at your Video with all those beautiful US classic cars i doesn't see "Junk" or "parts-cars"...I see restorable, saveable cars; the most of them are really restorable & could make so many many people & car guys lucky🍀☺ i think many people didn't know about that a car is only junk when it's cubed...and cubing/crushing a car is really the badest, sadest Thing😢 I hope people at USA recognize how importand those Yards with all those cars are to save..

Tilli Vanilli thanks for watching the video. I’m glad you enjoyed it. So in Germany they scrap all the old cars? On barn find hunter they had a guy that had a lot of Mercedes. He said they people that come from Germany really like to see his older Mercedes, said they don’t see them anymore. Let me know if you are have problems finding some parts. I live in Canada but we still have some classic but not like the States.

@@cannednolan8194 Oh, thank you for your nice answer! :) Yes, they closed all old cars Yards and 1-2 decades ago you could find places with old cars in woods or something else. But today there is nothing left. The biggest problem about that is the EU...what doesn't means Europe, EU means that bad organisation what is also a big enemy for all people who like cars. EU make and Made regulations and then things like this have to go... :( So today you could find yards with younger Cars but not like yards at USA or Canada. Barn finds is another thing, but at germany the most private back yards are tiny and not like that big in USA or Canada too. Most of the last good cars of the 90/00s are gone to africa. At germany the Gouvernemental "environment" regulations are very very bad and so many people trust those idiots and sold their cars and bought new ones. In ~2009 there was the 1st Gouvernemental regulation to get money when you give your old good car to this regulations and cars what was given away to this was crushed/had to be crushed. That was also a big bad thing what costs so many good older cars....and yes, tobay here so many new junk cars what couldn't be saved are in the roads...those new cars with tiny engines couldn't be saved because the electronics are the Problem. And the old good cars are mostly gone. Also many classic cars are gone with this regulations. I love the American cars, especially of the aera 1950-1970s, and such cars wasn't on old yards at germany without the few cars of them what was from G.I.s of US military at germany. So bot many ;) Yes, i really really could need someone who could take a look for parts or cars at canada, even also for my present "father son project" :) I really rebuild all sheet metal, all without changeing in better parts like another front fender or something else like that. That was a big work! I've Not many Videos here at YT yet, i think only one but when you like to take a look at the Car, all shiny metal is the new handmade sheet metal work of us. :) Do you know how we could write, via e-mail or something else??? Cheers Till

Ok: Imagine if all of those cars would back on the road and push japanese hybrids and Teslas to the crusher... here are cars enough for 10'000 families, imagine if all of world's junkyards would restore all of their cars!!! It would be enough to ask car makers to bring back on the assembly lines old models! Imagine if Chevrolet would restart production of 59 Impalas, Ford of the 57 T-Birds and Chrysler of 55 300-C!!! Anyway in this goldmine are enough cars to feed the vehicles need of a city with around 350-400'000 citizens. Here's the problem in Occidental side: we buy Toyotas, Nissans and Hondas, exactly while there are hundreds thousands of good old US cars rotting away!!!

Agree this is kinda what I try to do with business. Not going the way I would like. I try to find cars that someone wants to bring back. Or the parts for those a cars. The only problem with bringing back the older cars. Is the emissions and crash safety are not what new cars offer/have. But I like watching older movies. @@cannednolan8194 In reality, I can tell you a story about crash security. It was back in 1964 and my grandpa's brother was a truck driver at the time. He was driving on a dark mountain highway, nearby the town of Biella, Northwestern Italy. All of a sudden a car front came out of the dark in front of his cab and after it, everything fell in the darkness. Before he could realise what happened, he heard the screams of two teenagers. He got down from his destroyed truck and after his eyes get used of the moonlight, he saw a car crashed right on his truck. He took an iron bar he used to keep in the cab to avoid to be surprised by eventual vehicle thieves. He reached for the car and after hitting many times the door lock the passengers of the car, a young boy driving and his step-sister and girlfriend sitting beside him, were able to drag theirselves out of the wreck. Over than some surface wounds they had when the car glass was broken, they were able to walk normally and climbing to the sleeper of the truck, as my uncle opened it to protect them from the snow storm. At the end, it came out that she was adopted by the boy's parents right after have lost her father during WWII and her mother in the birth. He was 18 and she was 20. They were step siblings but in teenage years they began a secret relationship. They were discovered making love about two months before by his mother so the boy was sent to his uncle's home around 60 miles far from her. They planned to run and they were making it, heading to France. At the end was maybe dangerer to face the boy's mother instead of my uncle's Fiat 645N Tractor Truck: I saw the photo of the accident and the car was a 59 Caddy (double rear light on the tailfin) and the only thing that broke from A-Pillar to the rear were the glasses, and the rear doors locks that were broken in the impact. The car was traveling at 102 Km/h as the road tract were the crash took place was a 700m straight. At the time several people in Italy were for US cars because being larger they were surer than our little Fiat 500s 600s or 1100s.
