I really wish you showed how it looks open because I always feel like my stitches are too loose when it's open, but too tight when closed

Don't worry your definitely not alone in that, I get the same result with my stitches sometimes if the book isn't pressed enough before the sewing stage. If I do another sewing tutorial I'll make sure to include the inside of my book to show this 💕🌷

How far apart are your holes? Does it matter where the placement is?

How tight should we be pulling the thread?

I always air on the side of being tighter rather then looser, its vary hard to explain this in words but I'll try my best 😂 So when we open the book you should be able to pull your thread slightly, it should have a tiny bit of slack on it but if your thread is so loose that when you open to the middle of your signature and you can pull the thread quite easily to the point where it can come out more then 5mm then you have sewn it too loosely. So to summarise I would always recommend risking it being too tight then too loose. don't know how much sense that made but hopefully it was at least readable 😂
