What a lovely video! I love how verbally and physically delicate you are with your mom. You can tell how much you love and respect her and how proud she is of you. Her nails came out beautiful. This video made my heart very happy ❤️😍🥰

Best wishes to you, Mrs. Annie. I had a malignant tumor once, so I understand how low one can sometimes feel about it. I was lucky and the surgeon got all of the tumor, accidentally because he didn't even know it was a tumor when he removed it. After I got the pathologist's report I had to go to an oncologist and he said the surgeon managed to get all of the tumor with two cell walls between the incision and the first malignant cells. I was very lucky that day, both because I had the best son in the whole world, and because he refused to be born and forced a cesarean. The surgeon would never have been involved, and would never have seen my "funny-looking" appendix if my son hadn't refused to come out into the world, and I'd probably have been dead a long time ago. I mean, they don't check 20-somethings for colon cancer. My son is 34 now and is not just my son, but he's my best friend in the whole world, too. I've been lucky and never had any other instances of cancer.

Still the best teacher ever! *HUGS* I remeber putting the white on first. But only if I were doing a beige color french. I'm going in September so I know all about putting the white on first if doing a french style nail which I still love to this day.

justine brownlow I actually prefer the traditional way of doing it but am not against the reverse method. I think it takes longer to do it the reverse way, also.
@MommyOfZoeAndLiam5 жыл бұрын
Interesting, as a non nail person it looks much harder to do white first. Does it make it easier because the white is setting white you start the pink and then the pink it's faster due to the heat from the nail bed so they are ready to pinch at the same time?
@deltasaves5 жыл бұрын
As of when I went to cosmetology school (2011) they were still teaching us doing the white first. I struggle with changing up myself.

Kirsty, just wanted to let everyone know that uses foil to try your nail foil glue. I purchased it just recently and it is amazing! I was having so much trouble getting my foil to stick and come off clean with out some of it not sticking and looking patchy. With your nail glue no problem at all. My foil was absolutely perfect. Props to Naio Nails for continuing to come out with great products, please keep them coming.

I so wish I could come watch a session in person! I taught myself how to do nails during this covid 19 pandemic strictly by purchasing supplies on Amazon and watching mostly only your videos! (A few others because you do a lot of sculpting and I use tips currently!) I've gotten pretty good, although I've only ever done my own nails, and one other friends nails besides my rubber practice hands! I love your technique, your personality, and your products!! I owe my nail tech journey to you solely! Thank you love! All the way from New Jersey, USA!! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi to your mom, Kirsty! She sounds like a lovely lady. I can see where you get your loveliness from. Her nails are fabulous! Adam, you've learned quite a bit, haven't you? I like how you've been involved, even when you're behind the camera, asking questions, making some suggestions, etc. You could probably do some nail sculpting yourself, with Kirsty guiding you.

Hi Kirsty's Mum! Beautiful set; and they DO suit you. Lovely. My mother and I have very similar hands as well. But, my grandmother and I had/have identical hands, right down to our slightly crooked pinky fingers. She said it meant we're as dumb as foxes 😄 Thanks for the fun video. Hope to see more of you, Kirsty's Mum. It'd be great to see more ideas for women with "mature hands".
@calichef19625 жыл бұрын
Oh, Kirsty! Your mother is LOVELY!!! Please bring her back! I'd love to hear more about the Wedgwood factory, and your childhood! I also LOVE how this French mani came out! I'm not a fan of the whole "extended nail bed" thing. I don't like when the "nail bed" pink extends past the fingertip. I guess I just like my acrylic nails to look like they _could_ be my real nails, just without the ridiculous cuticle to tip arch that would wrap all the way around my fingertips if they were allowed to grow five or six centimeters long. A few of them also twist in a sort of corkscrew fashion. I only know this because I have worn acrylic overlays for years at a time without breaking them. I always feel sad when I have to cut them back because the curve and twist are just too much to look nice.*Edited for clarity.

😄👍 *I always wondered why this was called the "reverse" french method. The other way being the "original" method seems odd, like putting the cart before the horse type situation. Lol* 😂
@MommyOfZoeAndLiam5 жыл бұрын
She Who Knows All me too, when I hear reverse, I actually expect it to be the original way before I remember that's considered original. Because why on Earth would you do it the other way? All I can think is that it was about setting up the length first and maybe having the dry time be the same since the heat from the nail bed would cause the pink to et faster than the white..?
