I'd yet to see anyone use this gold leaf on a piece. Brilliant. I like how professional you are. I'm very interested in repurposing furniture. About the, Rose gold leafing: do you have a suggestion on a clear top coat. For extra protection to keep it from chapping off. Also I would spray a frabic protector on the seat. So it will last a long time with out staining. Makes it easy to clean they can do us sponge clean when needed. Very nice congrats on outcome. PS: have you ever had the dresser drawer stick after panting. If so what did you do?

I use Modern Masters MasterClear for protection. Good idea on the fabric protection! Yes I have had a drawer stick a few times after painting. The only way to fix it is to figure out what edge/s of the drawer are fixing and sand it down until it closes smoothly again. Then touch-up your paint.

This might be a stupid idea but I am curious if the round brush attachment on a shop vac would work to remove the excess gold leaf? Save a cleanup step later maybe. Regardless, the piece is absolutely lovely. Well done!

Watched one KZbin video 9 years ago. I don't even remember the name of the person now. But got started doing piece for my own house and learned from A LOT of trial and error. A few years into my practice an older lady and her daughter saw my potential and gave me such helpful tips. Now I try to share as much as help as I can to others!

I love your work and explanation of your process. I recently found a video that applied the gold leaf using a dry brush instead of fingers. What do you do with your spray gun between coats? Do you clean it our and reload or is it ok to let it sit and it doesn’t clog easily? Thanks. You work is amazing.

With mv paint I just let it sit. In between topcoats I do take my nozzle off and rinse it out. The container that holds my paint comes with a plug for the top when it isn't attached to the gun.

Thanks for a great video! I’m glad you’re happy with the rose gold. I always think rose gold is so pretty but I can’t live with it in the long run. I think this might have looked nice with a soft grey edging in some of the places you used the foil, and change the hardware out for some clear acrylic or maybe even silver hardware. I like your end result, though. I’m only speaking from a place of how I would style a room around a pink vanity like this and I’m sure it looks beautiful wherever it ends up 💖
