Love your style! I'm getting ready to makeover a dining room table. I've never used Dixie Belle silk paint, but I keep seeing it and love the way it looks. Although it says no top coat needed, what are your thoughts and experience with it?

Dixie Belle Silk is great paint. I have used it a few times on my channel. I flip most pieces to sell, so I always topcoat. Dining tables get a lot of wear and tear, so I would recommend topcoat.

I think instead of using all that wood epoxy on the leg, the better option would have been to cut a piece of wood to fit and then afix it to the damaged area. It could have been doweled or even biscuit cut in and glued. I do like the color used and I really like the texture created on the drawer fronts but I think it's almost too much. Maybe just the top 2 drawers would have been enough. Or perhaps using something other than the gold guilding wax on top. To me, it looks like fish scales. Not that it's bad, it's just not for me.
