He isn't good for them at least the Catholics, but they do respect his legacy, like the civil code, the education system... They don't see all the bad things he did and focus more on the glorious side of him. Napoleon III did tho provide form of reparation for the bad actions of his uncle. He supported the Conservative and the church in Mexico against the liberals and sent his army there, after US civil war ended the American sadly sided with the liberals and send them weapons what made the Mexican empire collapse at the end and let Mexico separate Church and State. Napoleon III also sent the army in Lebanon to protect the Christians massacred by the Druze who were supported by the British. And he also tried to defend the Pontifical States from the Italian army during the process of unification of Italy. The war with Prussia sadly made France unable to protect the pope land and Rome ended up invaded by the Italians...

The thing is England was the most anti-Catholic country in the world as far as I can tell. And Napoleon was the most powerful force in the world against the English Empire. I also wonder about the cult of Napoleon. Bonaparte might not have been the one instigating all of it. I've read that with Stalin there were many instances that Stalin was disturbed by how extrme it had gotten, but there are suck-ups who do it because they think the boss always wants it. Maybe that was going on with Napoleon? Napoleon is an interesting case for me. There are many things in this video and others that make me very disappointed in him, but I still entertain the idea that he is a kind of Philosopher King like Alexander the Great (who i think is a positive force on humanity and very lied about).

Vatican 2 is like the estates general and giving away the holy fathers seals if authority eg his ring and tiara wich they had no right to do , especially to people who really don't like the church and say about the tiara it will never be worn again,and the collegiality in wich the bishop's are all equal with the holy father so this is really the lawless democratic spirit we wher warned of but the tiara and hand binding reinforces the will in the priests especially the binding of hands ,and the pope gets crowned reinforcing his office,for ther has been a lack of help from the pope because of this,...and collegiality ,and religious liberty and Assisi ,the liberal teachers day this okays pagan worship and Buddhism in the church (wich it does not as it was only a prayer day ) anything else is not permitted it's supposed to be just a prayer day
