French & Saunders farewell tour, Still Alive 2008.
After more than 20 years of being on TV together, the double act French and Saunders put and end to their partnership. Their last ever concert, and last ever performing as a duo act, Still Alive tour ran until the end of 2008, and then resuming in Australia in the summer of 2009

I believe it was a joint decision from both of them. I think they felt as that as they were getting older, that perhaps sketch comedy was more of a younger person's thing and that it was time for other people to have a go. Also, I think they left to pursue other individual projects too. They're still friends though. :)
