Life is like peering through a window of time, extending out in an infinitely expansive world, filled with memories of the past and present, where the future has yet to be discovered. Back in 2020 I reached a new chapter in my life after finally coming to a place of healing, while dealing with Crohn's disease. I was inspired by the challenges and triumphs of my experiences to write a poem. This is what I came up with: Life is like a tree - "Life is like a tree. The trunk is the present, sturdy, and known, ready to seek new heights, while learning on the way. The branches are the future, reaching out in many directions, full of potential and budding with growth. The roots are the past, just as exponential as the last, no longer in sight but recalled in remembrance of what is to come: new life." Love this song so much!
