Frenchie Speed Wallet Regular and Mini Comparison!

Just discovered your channel on my hunt for a new minimalist wallet. Love your content; I enjoy your consistent production for all your review videos, and this comparison video was well put together. The Frenchie Mini is def on my short list; as well as the bellroy slim. Keep up the good work!

I actually like the limitations of the full size. The 2 quick slots are actually quick slots because they deliver the cards I need the most and not all of my cards for me to sort through. My front pocket is my grocery credit card and my costco card, the back quick pull has my drivers license and my gas credit card, then the middle 3rd pocket has all of the cards I barely use (health insurance card, debit cards, lesser used membership cards etc...). The mini looks like it just delivers everything in 1 or 2 pulls and then I need to sort through to find the card I want.

Same here. I actually liked the regular one better since you have quick access for 4 cards you usually use (2 per each pull tab). Which is on my opinion well organized and well thought of than just pulling every card you have.

@@peu.pluveiux 100% agree. The small one is also not that much smaller than the full sized so I don't feel like it's bringing enough to the table to replace it!

I don't know what it is about wallets, but I'm addicted to them. I own about 50 different wallets and end up switching every 2 weeks. I'm never satisfied.

Love all 3-bought all 3! The card wallet was for my wife-she loves it and carries only 1 cash bill for emergencies. The “mini” allows me to over-stuff it making it like carrying a rock in the front pocket. The original keeps me honest and the wallet less bulky-it also seems to be a little easier to use.

@@jetonzeqiri9553 Oddly, the original. For my large hands it’s the easiest to work cash and cards with and (due to being taller) positions itself vertically in the contour of my front pocket. I use both, but if I had to choose…the original works just a bit better for me.

@@thanksforyouruploads Actually, I use cash, so these wallets suit my needs. We all have different requirements for our wallets. I also carry cards, because it’s (oddly) sometimes difficult to pay for some items with cash-

I did a review on the speed Wallet 6 years ago. I’ve really enjoyed using it. The only thing is I use cards more than cash and can be a bit cumbersome getting them out at times. Six years down the line it’s done very well used on a daily basis. It’s marked a bit and a bit worn on the leather so this time I’ve gone for the ballistic and the mini. A well made wallet all round. I hope this one stands the test of time as the first one did.

I'm obviously a little late to the game. A wonderful new way to consume massive amounts of time. Love these two wallets... and was wondering... the mini has a few user reviews that complain of cards easily falling out when you take it out of your pocket the wrong way. Does the construction of the regular larger version (that limits the number of cards) have the effect making it more unlikely for the cards to slip out?

Imagine if the regular had the open bottom, like the mini... That would increase the card capacity to 18, and still keep a relatively slim footprint.

Mini for the win! Bothers me a little that the magnetic flap goes over the edge but I guess it’s easier to open and access the cash section. Don’t really carry a wallet anymore as apple pay takes care of everything for me but for trips overseas unfortunately carrying cash and cards are still a thing

I love love love your channel i think im the only other guy in the world that has as much wallets as u i have only one recommendation which i assume most of your viewers are enthusiasts so u should do the capability of carrying 2 cards or 1 as con or pro for example the secrid is perfect travel wallet but a con if your going out at night and i want to leave most of my credit cards at home just ID and cash or 1 card it will not work specially after 2 months or so of use and the red carpet material in the box wear out

lovely review. having used both wallets, here are my 2 cents. regular is superior when it comes to overall win because despite breaking in after all these years it can hold the cards well the mini has become a loose mess.

Thanks Mark. That was a weird results with the Mini holding more. I would have bought one of these, however, my brain has managed to ‘reset’ after my binge late last year and I am back to my MagnusX Ti-wallet at the moment with my UK cash and coins in a bag. 😆

I did a review on the Decadent Minimalist which will be released soon. I was able to successfully use the Aviator tray with it perfectly. No problems with coins. Might work on the Magnus. I'm still trying to get one of those...

This is a very good comparison video. I live in Japan and hope to buy this wallet, but I have no information about the size storage of yen bills. However, this video was very helpful for purchase. It was a video of the needs I was looking for. Just Very excellent.!

I would recommend you watch one of the two videos which review each of them, they're in the notes. The pull straps are for quick card access in associated slots. They have two for separation and convenience....the "speed" portion of the wallet design.

The carbon fiber version es basically the mini in form factor with the size of the regular, less bulky because of the carbon fiber replacing the leather... still my go to wallet
