Hi Frenchie. I am in the same boat as you were at the start right now. My room is an absolute mess and really hard to clean and cleaning is really important to my health since I have a severe dust allergy. Soon I will be renovating my entire room, just like you did. I can't wait to fit the acoustic wooden panels to my (accent)wall! My parents have been asking me to do my room properly for years now and I just did not have the time or the willpower to do so. So hopefully I can figure something out in the meantime. I have been watching you for a while now and finally I have had a mental breakthrough of finally committing time and effort to my room. I have to start in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime I will have to gather some inspiration. I want something like you did, only I have a big open room of about 3 by 10 meters or something. Your videos inspire me, now I have to figure out how to do it myself and expand my budget to do it. Thank you so much!

Are you trying to get him to fix Ur room 😂 petty attempt
@LK3201926 күн бұрын
Iv done a few interior design projects like he has on my flat. Heres some tips. 1. Led light strips can be expensive but if it's just some accent (hidden mood) lighting it's doesn't need to be the super expensive kind. You can save money with them just getting the cheapest decent strips you can find as there going to be hidden anyways. Make sure you place them facing a wall, floor or any position where you can't see the strips themselves. It looks very tacky and cheap when you can see the LEDs. If you have to place them where you can see the strips make sure to either buy or make some mouldings so you can only see the glow. 2. Make sure to you don't overbuy electrical decor products, they each use a plug socket so if you only have 4 sockets be mindful of that, powerboard extensions can get pricey and Dangerous if you overload the sockets so try to avoid that as much as possible. USB lights are a great alternative. 3. Assuming your still at school going off your comment, if you want to add textured/accent panels and have a workshop at your school ask if you can make them during your free period time. I did this when I was still at school and the teachers were fully supportive as long as I provided the money or resources to do so. Not only can you make unique custom designs very cheaply using their equipment but your also learning good skills. 4. If your repainting make sure it's a lighter colour. Whites and light greys will be you best bet for the modern aesthetic and maximising light reflection. More light gives the impression of more space and looks the cleanest but if your rooms already big pick any lighter colour of your choosing 4. Only get what you need for when you needs it. A lot of the time your original design ideas change and upgrade the more you do, don't be afraid to stray away from your original ideas if you like a different design better. Plan, plan, then plan again until you get it right. 5. Plants, plastic if you cant be bothered with maintaining it, real if you want more authentic look. Either way GET PLANTS. I cannot emphasise enough if your going for a modern look rather then a nightclub, plants absolutely transform your space (especially with light coloured walls). It's adds so much more life and personality into your room and is a great cheap investment. 6. Your room size completely dictates how much furniture and the size of said furniture. Too much furniture your room will look too busy and claustrophobic, too little furniture and your room will look empty and unfinished. Make sure the furniture you do get is all following the same style (no modern draws with an 80s oak bedside table next to it). 7. If you plan on having a tv try to make sure the tv isn't Infront a window. Sometimes it's unavoidable but the light being reflected off the screen will get annoying. If you can't just make sure you have easily closable blinds. 8. Get a rug. Rugs on either carpet or hard floor can add that extra bit of vibrancy or pop to your room, especially if it's following the modern grey scaled colour palette. Your favourite colour always works good but iv always like the look of a bright orange or red square rug beside your bed. 9. It takes time, be patient. Your not under any constraints to complete a makeover in a certain amount of time if it's your own space. Take your time with it, sometimes living in it can change your ideas of how you want it too look, gives you a chance to save money for cool stuff aswell. Just don't give it too much time because theres a good chance you won't ever go back to finishing it if you leave it 60% complete or above. 10. Led lighting is cool, but desk lamps, RGB lightbulbs and stuff like that is better. Don't go overboard keep it tasteful. Stuff like lava lamps and neon wall signs are a great way to add more light and personality without caking your room in led strips. Smart home stuff it's amazing for lights and stuff like that but it gets very very expensive quickly. If you plan to have voice activation, plan accordingly. As in don't get a bunch of products that you know you will have to upgrade later to work with smart home stuff. Do your research and design accordingly. 11. Mirrors are a great way to enhance your space just don't overuse them. A nice single mirror on the wall can help the room feel more spacious. Finally it's your room, your space. It should mirror what you like and your personality, design it to your taste but think about how much you'd like it in the future. You don't want to be upgrading everything every year so future proof as much as possible. Enjoy the process as well!

Bro, I had to pause the video to make this comment. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU DID FOR GAGE. When you said you gave your PC away, and when I saw his reaction, I genuinely cried, and believe me when I tell you, I don't cry easily. I didn't cry even during family funerals. Bless you, your heart, and your family.

Thank you for taking us on this journey! It's so cool seeing how far you've come and all the different things you've learned. If you decide to do subscriber rooms I'd absolutely love to have you do mine. It's been unchanged since I was like 17 and I would love to completely change it up. Heck maybe I can learn how to do some things with you!
