I speak French quite well but my pronunciation sets people's teeth on edge. I am often misunderstood. Pronunciation is important and not easy. Videos like this are helpful if you repeat the words aloud. Don't worry about remembering, just the sound.

@@PhilJonesIII if you wanna improve your pronunciation you should repeat stories on youtube. I think this way is called the shadow. Take a small story and repeat it more than 5 and you'll see your development quickly

Start a course on You Tube....French with Alexa. The individual videos are free and helpful but I finally paid for the course (very inexpensive) and now I get the benefit of step-by-step instruction. She is a most capable instructor and yet very warm and personable also. Best of luck! Enjoy!

You mix nouns with verbs such as 'can' and then go into verbs that could be nouns! Then 'date' could be a verb and you use a noun 'rendevous'. 'Fine' could be 'amende' but you pose it as 'Bien'.

For "owl" --- owl can also be "chouette". The difference between a "hibou" and "chouette" is the presence of things on the top of their heads. Hibou has sticky-out "ear" things, whereas chouettes do not. I'm just clarifying for anyone else who learned from Duolingo that owl is "chouette" so might be confused about the name change. :)

Wonderful aid to learning but what is MISSING is that you do not give the definite and/or indefinite articles so we can learn the gender of the words. A, an or the in English ...un, one ,le la in French. Those would be most helpful for us students trying to learn French. Thank You.
