When, We consider about this table. What is the upper limit of first column. 59 or 59.5???

We can safely think of the upper limit of the first group as 59, because we are dealing only with whole numbers in this example. If the number was 60, it would be counted as part of the next group up. The upper limit of the whole column is 99 of course. Does this help? Ask a follow-up question if you like...

@@PeterBlakeMaths sir exam are going in a good manner as they send online question paper and we need to write our answer in one sepreate sheet and convert it into a pdf and they will correct and send our marks after some days or weeks

Hi Ahmed. I have only ever seen questions that include all data points for the process I describe here. Outliers are often dealt with in different types of questions.

Not sure what you mean. The class centre kind of represents that group in further calculations for mean etc. It is at the centre of the numbers for that group. For example a group from 10 to 14 would have a class centre of 12 to represent it. Some text books may call this a class mark instead...

cooking queen Yes, especially considering the data in my example is made up of whole numbers. If the original data had some decimal places there would need to be some rounding off and any number between above 49.5 and below 59.5 would end up in this class... Hope this makes sense.
