Frequently asked questions about the Dot Matrix VHDL course

My friend, I'm from Venezuela, I'm 29 years feeling kind old for starting with Vhdl, but still interested. I'm learning some basics related to this language but it's getting hard to me, to understand the scope of learning this. It is the same of PLC, or arduino. Or other stuff? Or this language can run on much other many platforms? Do you have a basic/intermediate course?

VHDL isn't a regular programming language like C or Python that runs on a processor or microcontroller. It's a coding language for describing digital hardware, electronic circuits. Therefore, it's going to be very different from programming Arduino.
