They need to ditch the the “Please say a command” it should just make the tone and you should start talking like Amazon’s and Google’s. The system talks back too much.

In my Escape you can make that change in the settings. You would want to select Advanced user.

You cat deselect that under settings on Sync3. Once done it only makes the chime to acknowledge the system is aware you. are asking something.

2017 Edge Titanium has that feature, so the 2019, would certainly have this feature.

Sync 3 updated about 8 months ago. Can no longer select music or audiobooks from my USB thumbdrives. It disallows me to select them while moving. Since I drive as much as 1100 miles (last July 5) in a day, I am mostly "at speed" on interstate highways and can't stop to select my audiobooks nor my music. I can't see a way to remember WHAT audiobook I want, I have to see a display of what's available, and then select it. I can't see how you would do that with voice commands. Is there a way? So, mostly I either play Sirius or AM, but mostly I just have the entertainment system off now. Is there a cure for this? (No, I can't put my audio in my phone, it doesn't have enough memory. The 2 32 GB thumbdrives are each nearly full) I need to be able to select my USB thumbdrives.

its included as long as your car has Sync. Most of the newer Ford's are being released with Sync 3 & have full voice capabilities. Check out the Oodles Rewards app that we will be releasing for Ford by the end of this year.

I have a Fusion 2017 and it will not all me to make a call while driving. It tells me to hit the notification button and go to Google. I have unpaired and repaired my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled my Android Auto. Nothing seems to work. do you have any ideas as to why I can't call out hands free. My SYNC3 is up to date.

I have a 2017 Ford Explorer. The sync system is a mess. I did the update so it's the 3.0 version. But when I press the voice command button on my steereing wheel, there is a huge delay in getting the woman's voice to come on. Sometimes it does come on quick, but then there is a delay when I speak and then nobody says anything, and then she says I didn't hear that, when nobody told me to speak. Just a lot of things. I contacted Ford chat and they said do a module reboot by pressing the radio knob in the middle and the right "scan" buttons at the same time. That did not work. I have no idea what is going on. I was in another city and I went to press the voice command to find an address, and the lady's voice was in and out, and then I finally figured out she was saying "what address in Jupiter" when I was in another city and it wouldn't let me tell it what city I wanted to search in. Please help!!!

If they are going to saddle you with a talking car you should be able to customize the voice. I have hearing problems and have trouble with some voices. Female ones especially. Thank goodness you can shut off the voice completely but there should be more choice in this. This is figuring strongly in my choice of a new car.

Well, sync 3 soks, too much talking and too many questions, same goes for siri. a tone would suffice most of the time, ability to switch from sync 3 to siri or ga with maybe a longer press on the talk button, so you don't have to say hey google or look for a button to press on the screen or the phone. Other cars do it like that. Climate commands are limited specially if you have a dual system, or front and rear. Sync needs to be updated, looks like a century old system and no way to change stuff without major surgery, or forscan.

ITS HORRIBLE xD Does it really dont allow you to use nav while driving? Just voice? xD In the bin bruh, luckily we have phones, coz i would rip that shit out of a car, voice is horriblxy useless and cringe
