Jebus save us! I wish I had your life! LOL! As others wish they had mine! On the subject of ASMR videos, your narration is pretty much the epitome of that, and I find your narration calm and enjoyable. An incredible, welcome change, to the guys that seem to think they need to be shouting out about how great "This" is, for every minor thing they video! I really enjoy seeing you on these trips where you are just out hunting around, and you are covering what is going on with the narration!

My favourite way to open coconuts is to prop them up, pointy end up. Then drop a big rock onto the point. You may need to feel this a few times. The husk will split and pull away from the shell. Tapping the shell hard a few times before opening of will help the meat separate from the shell. If you time, leave the broken open nuts in the sun for a day of two and the meat will shrink away from the shell.

We call them "Wings" over here in Queensland, Australia, the Barramundi have the best wings, and the meat is insane... use the coconut husks to burn one and let it smoulder for mozzies and sandflies, works great to keep them away. :)

So I watched a guy one time (an old Florida native) take two shovels. He put them back to back. Stabs the first shovel in, and then took the second shovel and stabbed it in to the back of the first one. Then he takes hold of both handles and pulls them together and splits the husk right off it! He made it look easy, but he’s probably done hundreds of them. I’ll tell you what though, it was quick and easy. I’d never seen it done that way before.

I'd heard that coconut oil was good to give dogs, so did a search to see before commenting - because I have two dogs. I found this information : Coconut water can be a nice treat for your dog. It's full of electrolytes that can help keep your dog hydrated and even give them a boost of energy as it's full of nutrients like potassium, calcium and vitamin C. Also, Coconut oil is generally safe for dogs to eat in small amounts or have applied to their skin or fur. So share the coconut with Miss Tipsey.

Hey Aaron thx for sharing. Black grouper are also my favorite fish to stalk. I frequently end up being schooled by them often leave with a greater admiration for their craftiness after pursuing them. BTW the best way I have found to husk a coconut is the hawaiian pick ax method. Only takes about 1 minute each when you get the hang of it. Also hit the coconut between the eyes with a rock or hammer to open with one hit. Keep the awesome videos coming!

I've always really loved the texture in a lot of fish collars as the main point of difference from the fillets. I'm glad you mentioned that as it seems overlooked or not mentioned a lot! We have a fish called Threadfin Salmon in northern Oz and it has wings to die for. The texture is somehow like crab meat or something. Just incredible how good it is and how much you see people throw it away!
@KeyWestWaterman

its some of the best cuts! and I believe it we have a couple fish that are similar. alot of the collars or wings taste completely different than the fish its wild.

You've been putting out some great content lately. Lots of variety. It's always nice to see you 2 out enjoying the water together. It's kinda funny to see you fighting the coco with the machete. My friends in Costa Rica chop into them quick but they get lots of practice. I prefer the machete, the metal spike is pretty terrifying. They often have a scoop screwed to a board and they sit on the board to hold it down while they get the meat out. It's a little scary too. I have a friend who chops them open for his chickens and they all go nuts cleaning out the coconut shells. I miss living down there.

I'm in Barbados and I use a peak tool to husk coconuts. Just swing one side into the ground and you have your spike. Makes the job very easy.

Amazing video! I learned to open the coconut with the same monkey trick! For opening the coconut, if you look at the monkey's face and hit it on the top of the "head" of the monkey, around the center of the coconut with a thick stick or something, it is supposed to make a nice clean crack around it. It worked for me when I tried. Just make sure not to spill all of the water! Keep making awesome content!

Priceless as usual...and I simply love Madeleine..."...Are you sure that's clean..???" To be topped off by "...Em Hm...I wore it doing boat maintenance yesterday..." The whipping of the hands on the pants, even if I didn't know you...LOL...is a dead giveaway of either being a Butcher or a Fisherman...when they cook...Thanks for another great one...!!!

I remember you saying that your KZbin videos was to help offset some of the boat expenses in one of your videos a while back. Now look at you. Man you have come a long way since then. Great video and content! I look forward to your next one.

Yup, move to Fiji, New Zealand, or anywhere else beautiful and far far away from the states. I grew up in Florida. Fished my entire life, both recreational and professional. Built boats and had multiple businesses. Life after a while became a drag and the truth is that there are far better places in the world to live.

There's an old coconut water saying...'From darkness to darkness.' When you open that small opening, drink the coconut water, it came from the darkness inside the coconut into the darkness in your mouth. Hence...only you hear what one tells you and no one else.

Hi Eric, just see this video. I love all your videos. I planing to move to florida and retire there. About coconut opening technics, There are a lot. to remove the hard shell try put the full nut directly on the fire. You will see the shell crack. them remove it whit a strong blade knife or small machete. If you don"t put any water nothing will separate on the milk. Keep fishing. Good luck. Adrian.
