Kinda wish this was better. In addition to what it already has, I'd give it the effect of: Once per turn, if a madolche monster is summoned to a zone this card points to, you can send 1 card on the field to the graveyard. Adds some much needed disruption to madolche, works well with its effect and ticket. One of my favorite archetypes too.

Cool idea, though I'd probably make the effect spin opponent's cards instead of sending them to the grave, considering that kind of effect would seem out of place on a Madolche card and I don't think Konami would do something that far out of left field on an archetype they're no longer heavily promoting. [Tbh, if it were up to me, I'd make that spin effect ignore other cards/effects that would prevent whatever card would return to the Deck from doing so, be it a card unaffected by monster effects, a card effect like that of G.B. Hunter or Transmigration Break, or something like Solemn Strike that's meant to negate the spinning effect.)

I would have added the effect: when this card is special summoned, you can return one madolche monster in the GY to the deck. Turn one this card would be worth summoning with the anjelly play, you can trigger the ticket turn one for a free search or special summon. Allowing for this cards protection effect to be live for the opponents turn.

Full disclosure: After 10 or so years of being away from this game, it was the Madolches that really got me back into it after noticing that they existed. They're just so cute and fun to play! They'll always have a close place to my heart and it makes me quite sad to see this card isn't all that hot. I get you can get it out quick because anjelly is a goddess of a card, and hootcake is amazing too, but it really would be nice if we could get ourselves an extra Madolche normal summon to make her effect go off the turn she's summoned, I do agree there. Another thing I've seen in the comments is that it would be awesome is if this card counted as "Madolche Puddingcess" while out on the field. That way the spells and traps requiring her could be used more easily. Konami seems to think this deck should be able to play the grind game with her protection effects, but it can't. It cannot wear down the opponent, it's too weak for that. It's supposed to swarm, Tiaramisu utterly shatters enemy defenses with her non-targeting effect, and then everyone rushes in. It is beginning to feel like, as it stands, Konami has no idea what the heck they wanna do with this deck and made this card as an afterthought, and that's deflating. Still, I'll keep my Madolche cards close. They got me back into this, I sure as hell ain't abandoning them.

Hey, thanks for the reply pal. Good to see another Madolche player. What I'm hoping for the most is a new line of Madolches, the Fresh Macolches. These Madolches would be retrains of older cards, more suited for play in this modern dueling era. It would be awesome to see that Fresh Madolche Sistart is the beginning of a "Fresh Start" for the deck! As a fellow player, let me run something by you as an example. Puddingcess, as she is, doesn't work well. She's one of the worst main deck monsters now because with link summoning, no way will Madolches not be in your GY, so she ain't getting buffed. And now Sistart requires GY Madolches so the two clash. Yet the deck has cards that require her to be out to use their best effects. So why not retrain her into Fresh Madolche Puddingcess? Have her be a level 5 EARTH Fairy but remove the debuff stuff, just a flat 1800 each. Have her special summonable if you control another Madolche monster. Have her treated as "Madolche Puddingcess" While on the field or as an xyz material (for A La Mode). And as the kicker, once a turn, discard 1 Madolche card to either target another Madolche monster and up its level by 1, or decrease her level by 1. This allows easy access to Tiaramisu or A La Mode. This would allow for much more deck (Insert "Synergy!" clip here) than the current Puddingcess has. Just a wishful idea to make Madolches better. I'm probably biased toward them but they need stuff like that to remain relevant. Any thoughts from you?

We would need a better duo of counter traps, particularly tea break as it's kinda terrible as is. Returning a spell/trap to the hand ain't gonna do much, particularly if you return a spell. The counter traps should also have a bit of synergy with Puddingcess' discard effect, so they'd have small bonuses if you discard them. Also, remove the no monsters in the grave condition, it doesn't work with Sistart. For tea break, the card that needs the most work, make it so that you activate it to counter a spell or trap, and that spell/trap is sent to the GY with its activation negated. If you control Puddingcess, you can banish that card instead. Or, if you discard it from your hand to the GY, your opponent cannot discard cards from their hand to the GY for the rest of the turn. So no honests or anything like that to ruin your day. Let's call it "Madolche Tea Party". As for Nights... how about "Madolche Silent Night"? If an opponent activates a monster effect, negate it. If you control Puddingcess, your opponent cannot activate that effect again so long as that card is face up on the field. If you discard it, target 1 Madolche. Its link value becomes 2 and it counts as 2 Madolches when used to link summon. I hope that's not too OP. If you have any thoughts on those ideas (effects to add, remove or change for example), let me know.

It's still good. People are giving it a bad rap that I don't think it deserves. It gives us a consistent first turn protective play, it's not OPT so you can protect it as long as you have madolche in grave (min 2 from the link summon of it) and next turn it allows you to go off with the card you have left in hand, seeing as anjelly is a 1 card sistart. Sure you don't stop playing brilliant fusion or missus radiant, but this card has way more utility than people are giving it credit for and I'm excited to see what I can do with it (metalfoe madolche anyone?)

~Starlight~ dragacius himself is decent. But he does nothing for gladiator beasts since they still are a battle focused archtype in 2017, and they still have problems actually assembling enough resources to make summoning him viable. It's still more practical to go for gyzarus more often than not.

I kind of agree. I like a lot about it, the synergy it makes and the protection it gives. I just wish it did more or worked like the glorious Beyoncé of fairies herself, Tiaramisu. Halifiber and electrum are broken. Cherubini, aroma, gem knight, ritual beast, light sworn and invoked are good. Inzektor, hieratic, qli and noble Knight ones were decent in their own archetypes but not what their decks needed. And the glad beast, zefra, madolche and the others I can't remember were just terrible. So yeah, less than half were actually good/gave their dedicated decks what they needed to be good in link format. I define that as a disappointment, but I guess the term is relative.

This card is still lackluster at best. I wish, for the 2nd effect, you could return any Madolche card instead of just monsters; that'd be much better (IMO), but instead this creates synergy issues with Puddingcess and the Counter Traps. You can't protect Sistart from destruction unless you keep some Madolches in the grave, but if you do this, Puddingcess will be weaker on the field, and you won't be able to activate the Counter Traps either. Still, I kinda wonder if Sistart will end up being the impetus needed to get people to main Madolche Lesson.... (It is nice to be able to search a card off Messengelato that can recycle stuff like Ash Blossom and Castel. 😊)

At least they got an archetype specific Link. As a Noble Knight player, Isolde works well in them, but being a generic '2 warriors' link was annoying as shit since its search effect has to be slow as fuck since anybody playing warriors can use it. The only truly enjoyable thing I get out of Isolde is seeing people who actively run her forget about her second effect since its the more important one in knights, and basically useless for everyone else. Though on that note, I appreciate that the second effect of isolde makes it so I no longer HAVE to Medraut into Borz, and can opt to make other first turn plays.

konami is in this weird place where they obviously intended for Madolches to be a stun'esq deck at first but then with hootcake made it a spam deck then overclocked it with anjelly and since then have all but refused to admit what the deck truly is. This is coming from a madolche player mind you. It's like they went "well links slowed down the game so obviously madolches should be stun again so well make the link support focus on protection" failing to realize that A: links did fuck all to slow down the game and cut most mid teir decks off at the knees by cutting off their access to the extra deck and B: Madolches STILL are not a stun deck WITH the link mechanic. I'm still praying for a rank 3 beast...

I understand madolches need an extra normal summon. But don’t people play brilliant fusion or that new knightmare link monster goblin or double summon? Saying the link monster should also give us that option is a bit overdoing it I understand that it would have been better but it’s a fairy you got ticket so it helps special summon on your opponents turn. Sorry dude just letting you know there’s stuff to throw in that can also help without the problem.

PK-Beatz that's literally herald of the arc light. Unless you mean being able to be the entire tribute for a ritual summon, in which case I feel the need to point out that it probably wouldn't help ritual decks, especially herald, since they don't really have the means to make a link summon (unless they make it a link one, which seems unlikely)
