I read Fingersmith back at uni (13 years ago now!) and loved it. It was one of the books I looked at for my thesis, which was on Sarah Waters and Jeanette Winterson. (So great when you can choose your own topic). I've almost totally moved away from novels and read almost all non-fiction at the moment. Currently reading Puckoon by Spike Milligan and just started Womb by Leah Hazard which I'm loving so far.

Welcome and fantastic job on your first video! You and I are somewhat bookish twins - everything you said I found myself nodding along to and Pullman’s trilogy is also one of my all time favorite reads. I’ll be picking up Open Water because of you - it’s like the final push I needed after seeing so many other book tubers rave about it. I’m currently reading “The Magic Toy Shop” by Angela Carter and a few others on my December TBR are a re-read of Jane Eyre, and Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier. So happy to have found you! 😊

Yay another Aussie book tuber! I’m in Newman in WA and I joined because NO ONE reads up here! I remember reading Robert Jordan as an introduction to fantasy at age 14 and it made me obsessed with fantasy for years and years!

Hi! Sarah Waters - i read the Little Stranger this year, very erie and haunting! If you like speculative fiction + lit fic, you might like my fave read of 2023: Adrift by Brideau....
