Bass and Carp where the target species for today's adventure fishing in the fresh water of the Nepean River in NSW Australia.
For More Australian fishing click here : • Nelson Bay Family Fish...
FOR BINGE WATCHERS : • AUSSIE VLOGS
The weather was really hot and sunny and we left it late before we set off to catch our river fishing bag limits. We were using spinner baits and soft plastics for about an hour with no luck before we thought we would try our hand at bottom fishing for fresh water carp.
The carp were biting and two of the biggest fish we decided to show here on film. The fish were caught on very light 4kg line and because i didn't worry about taking the net (i really felt being the middle of the day we wouldn't catch anything but the kids were bored ) i was unable to lift these extremely heavy chubby fish.
The carp were caught on Corn Kernells and we really had a fun time catching them as they do fight hard for quite some time.
Maybe you could give me some fishing tips on how to catch the BASS and ill be sure to give that a go. We were also fishing on private property and extremely thankful our neighbours gave us permission.

Those sure were some monster carps. We have those here too, maybe not that exact type, but very similar. I don't know if you have perch fish over there, but I used take a hook to one of them and toss them out to catch Bass. That's a tough situation, being up so high and trying to drag the fish to you. You must have some pretty nice neighbor's to let you guy's fish there. Have a great one Ryan and congratulations again on the colorful bird video. Also thank you very much for the card👍

Top water Baby Torpedo in green frog color is my favorite lure for bass. I used to fish quite a lot when I lived in KY. Mainly big farm ponds and mainly for largemouth bass. After moving to PA in 1988 and seeing how different and more restrictive PA’s fishing regulations were, I stopped fishing almost entirely. And to this day I rarely indulge, sad but true. 🐟🐟☹️🐟🐟

Gee, TC it sounds like your a pro mate. We just jumped into it and went for broke. I really never thought we would catch anything but we were very lucky. @@RyanIngleton Bass are good eatin mate! But only if they're not very big, the bigger they are they "older" they taste. If you're wanting some EXCELLENT table fare fish, I highly recommend crappie or bluegill, but you'll have to downsize your fishing gear to an ultra-light rod and reel spinning rig.

I used to use plastic worms and shad colored crank baits for bass. I don't do much fishing any more the waters have just gotten to crowded with water skiers and jet skiers. Also the license is too expensive now and many places you have to buy a day use permit and pay a boat launch fee.
@RyanIngleton
@RyanIngleton 3 жыл бұрын
Wow thats unreal Greg, a license over here is only $16 for a year and kids up to 18 are free. We have lots of marine parks and jet skis are banned from almost everywhere except the ocean....too many people went too fast nest to swimmers. We do not pay for boat launch fees at all in Australia unless your going into a national park where everyone who visits in any car also has to pay.
