I am 74 5'6 and this bike is perfection. Just hit 1000 miles . I live in Florida so l can ride most days, of course right now late December its prefect temps. Florida laws allow bikes to us side walks and considers bike riders to be pedestrians so it's very easy to get through the city safely.

That's quite insightful that you mention that the load (weight of the rider) and incline and tire PSI have bearing on the range. No one else mentioned that. Winner!

I'm 56 and ride this to work now. I pedal in the morning while it's cool and I have energy, then throttle home 5.3 miles. LOVE this bike. Great review.

Verified on the 2021 model, pedal assist 0 also disables the throttle.

Not gonna lie - I like this bike much better than the Himiway Cruiser. Seems a little closer to the ground and the step through design is better for shorter people. Great work as always.

The Himiway really seems to be taking over the EBike market. I cannot tell you how many people I have seen riding these bikes around my city. I think I would like a lighter bike but it seems awesome!

I think so. My Cruiser is set to 45 KMH (about 28 MPH). Going to try to lower that as low as possible right now!

@cheryl tracy Lower Motor Size = Lower Speed I'd get a 250-500 watt motor depending on the age of the rider. Leave the 750 watt motor for adults.

I had a Lectric electic bicycle. The motor died at less than 50 miles and their customer service won't fix it. I have to wonder if this company is the same thing.

Yes! In Florida, all bikes can share public sidewalks or the streets, including ebikes.

Absolutely Sheelagh! Felicia is 5'3" and she is completely comfortable on it. The seat sinks a little when you sit on it. Since it's a step thru, you can slide forward and put your feet down comfortably when you're stopped. She likes this bike! She is testing an Espin Nesta next week, which is the next generation of these step-thrus, and it's foldable with an adjustable seat! Take a look at those before you buy anything. I'm a little confused when you say the seat height for the Cruiser is taller than the seat for the Escape. On their website, they claim the Escape's seat it measured at 28 inches (non-adjustable), and the minimum seat height for the Cruiser is also 28 inches. So why would the Cruiser be taller if they measure at the same height? Granted, I'm not interested in the Cruiser. I keep debating between the Escape or the Big Dog bike. The only detail putting me off of the Escape is the much smaller battery, as well as a smaller weight limit. I like the 400 lb limit on the Big Dog (Cargo Bike).

The Escape seat has more padding, so it sinks a little more when you sit on it. There's probably an inch or two there for most adults. Cruiser height is taller if you add a suspension seat, and you definitely need one. There's no rear suspension on the Cruiser.
