6:53 I'm always utterly surprised at how people can lay down like this. The actress' neck must have hurt like hell at some point! Her neck isn't supported at hell, it's the opposite! Not only does it hurt the neck to sleep like that, but it also makes it more difficult to breath.... so weird.... Did people in China really sleep like that in history? As for the maid, it's about time she got what she deserved!

I don't think I've ever watched a drama where a crown prince was depicted as completely unredeemable and loathsome: what a horrid man with the way he treated those who cared for and loved him through all his mistreatment of them. And what's with his and his brother's wardrobe? Some of the worst I've seen in terms of color palette and style. If he or his brother walked in the village without bodyguards, they'd look like common shopkeepers and villagers. As for the princess who lay dying in bed - if she's about to take her final breath, wouldn't one of her maids and attendees at least take her hair down so she'd be more comfortable? How does a woman lay in bed like that without getting a single hair out of place? That scene was just silly: two maids trying to give her broth and neither suggests making her more comfortable by releasing her hair?

History often glossed the lily or just did not write the truth because it would make them lose face, relay to the world how cruel the palace was, where from the lowest slave to princes and concubine to Dowager Empress twisted other people’s lives to get power and survive. No different today when people want wealth and power.
