The "Still here" cinematic represented the past(kayle and morgana fighting aatrox), present(trindamere fighting kindred, the death itself), and future with old yasuo.

I believe Kindred was involved in every single scene. Their arrow killed Yasuo, they were hunting Tryndamere, and of course they'd be there during a war against Aatrox, but I didn't actually see them at all in the video at that point

@@LordKylington Rather than their arrow killing Yasuo, I'd say that it's more that they are there whenever anything dies, and the Kindred's arrow is more so a representation of death, but it is not The cause of said death. (same for the claws and fangs of Kindred) For Yasuo here it is simply a coincidence that the cause of death was actually an arrow.

Because aatrox can’t die you just see kindred in the smoke as the symbol of death. Yasuo wasn’t really dying to kindred, he was dying to all of the arrows but you see kindreds arrow to show his time has come. Tryndamere got some shit from aatrox to where when he’s enraged enough he can’t die, thus him fighting for his life against kindred

There is an extremely vast goldmine of characters and stories, I fell into that rabbit hole before Arcane was even released and am obsessed with League's lore. I know its a big ask but there is a League of Legends content creator named Necrit whose whole thing is covering the Lore so can you react to his videos? The videos where he talk about the Riot League of Legends MMO are currently the best way to learn the lore I think.

The lore back then was more like a collection of short stories. That's why they came up with this 'summoner' business. You are the player are a summoner who summons the champions from different worlds. That's why they can look so different. Later they developed an interconnected multiverse because they wanted to strengthen and develop the franchise.

Exactly. He is stopping them, from doing bad things, and in the end he pushes back last one to not let him get hit by hail of arrows. The Line he drew on the ground is a symbol. He tells them, to not cross the line by killing innocent, and he pushes them back from doing so.

She didn’t exactly “started” using dark magic. Her dark magic is a result of suppressing the godly magic she inherited from her mother. Morgana thinks that fully embracing godhood will make her apathetic to mortals, and she chained her wings so she can walk on soil like mortals do. She sees the benefit of her dark magic so she began to use it for more reasonable and compassionate justice unlike Kayle.

I think "Warriors" remains my favorite trailer. They're all amazing but this one gives me goosebumps always. Also would love to see an Arcane-esque story telling the tale of Lux and Demacia. Few small notes - 1) The void girl name is Kaisa, and the guy with chains is Sylas. He actually have some interesting lore. 2) Volibear in the Call was in the sky - those on the ground was his followers. Also it was mostly Reksai children Kaisa and Taliah fought, Reksai was in the end (the biggest one). Also u can see Ornn (forge god and brother of Volibear and Anivia) throught the Call trailer, forging Infinity Edge (i think). There is also one important figure in Call, but its vague. That big statue with slashed face - thats a statue of Xolaani, one of the Darkins (same race as Aatrox, Varus etc). She is not a champion, but she is present in the card game Legends of Runeterra and quite important cause of lore.

Isn't this just what the lore is actually building up to tho? Zilean and Jax creating their own respective anti-void combatant teams and in doing so connecting multiple different champions to help through out Runeterra, Ryze finally collecting all Wolrd Runes and not being scared of using their power if it means saving Runeterra, Kai'sa and to an extent Taliyah doing the same as Zilean and Jax, Nunu being able to deal with void tainted ice and a bunch of other things

@@natanm.v8145 Yeah, its building up to that point. The only problem is the faction itself, including the Noxus. They primarily focusing on expanding their empire and the Black Rose focused on Mordekaiser, but they're probably going to get hit the hardest because of Vel Koz. Demacia isolate themselves from the outside world. Bildgewater is just a lawless city and Zaun suffered great amount from chemicals. Also, there are beings who don't care what's going on, most likely the demons. Mordekaiser is the most threatening besides the void. The hardest group of people to join your side is the Darkin.

The weird old cloaked dudes in the first cinematic was the OG lore for the game, where you (the player) was a summoner that brought all these champions into The Rift and had these fights between themselves. It got scrapped in the first major reboot of the Lore because they found more interest in the lore than they expected iirc and thus began the huge push for in-depth individual character stories and larger regional history. Before that all we got was fun snippets for shits and giggles instead of like, real lore.

Still here is most complex in terms of lore. Kayle and Morgana are in the past, Yasuo is in the future and Tryndamere is current time This is probably the first time Aatrox gets sealed in his blade there at the start (his host killed), this is one potential future were Yasuo dies (kindred arrow comes to claim him) and this basically makes Tryndamere fight kindred when he ults canon, kindred is death coming to claim him but they can't because he can make himself temporarily immortal.

It's kind of annoying that they gave Tryndamere a skin in A Twist of Fate for no reason (other than to sell more of the skin) making him essentially unrecognizable compared to the others. Not to mention, I think it was the most expensive non-exclusive skin at the time.

Regarding the Lore it not straight forward. TLDR League had a hard Lore reset around 2014 ... and is going through a soft one currently. a slightly longer version: in the Original lore the game itself was cannon ... as the story centered around the Summoners Collage, where summoners would summon heroes from different realms to fight in team battles, each champion having their own motivation and reason for being there, with conflicts between realms being handled in these battles in 2014 as Riot decided to reset the main universe ... creating the current iteration of a unified world called Runeterra over time the majority of the champions and all the regions were updated to fit into this new universe - there are still champions that still dont have have proper lore in the new settings The main vehicle for the story telling were the character bios, and free short stories and comics released on riots universe website, together with different cinematics. Its around 2020 when things start to change in the story telling department Riot released their card game Legends of Runetera which would become a vehicle for publishing new lore through their card sets. and a separate story focused game The Ruined King was planed for 2020 but got delayed because of the pandemic to the next year. That said the Canonicity of the Card game was foggy creating an half separate quasi universe. The short stories started decreasing as they did not have gained much popularity unfortunately - partly most players are not interested in reading, and Riot did a poor job on promotion and accessibility 2021 was a messy year for Lore ... Legends of Runeterra was pushing ahead publishing new lore through its cards, Riot went ahead with a large Multi medium multi platform story event called Ruination/Sentinels of Light ... that ended as a mess for the lore I could go on about. Riots first story focused game the Ruined King came out .. a decent success but a prequel to the above story event was released after it only adding to the messy state ... Arcane came out to great acclaim creating a separate universe at first This continued through 22 and 23 the only stable Lore release were Legends of Runetera in its half separate half canon universe, the occasional Cinematic, New champions - who generally got a story on and 2 smaller games released in 2023 Song of Nunu and the The Mageseeker they also Started releasing Novels .... one proper a prequel Ruination novel about how the Shadow Isles came to be. and one short novel about Garen (released 2020) But the later games almost completely ignore the ruinations story, late stories mention it almost dismissively and how it all fits together is left in limbo in early 2024 Riot announces they are officially abandoning short stories, and merging Arcane story line, the main story line and the card game story line into one. We are still waiting on how this shapes out, the card game is basically on life support in a way no longer really releasing new card packs, so that not giving much more story, Riot forge that was releasing the smaller story driven games was abandoned ... and new stories still do come out but only when a new champion releases And we had Arcane S2 So League Lore is currently in a sort of Limbo ... as we are waiting for how the merge will shake out ...

Would you check out the Tales from Runeterra cinematics sometime? There is one for each region, they are quite good. :) Also if you have Arcane withdrawal there is a 5 part behind the scenes documentary called Bridging The Rift, a music video for Jinx called Get Jinxed, and there is a theme song for Vi but no music video, just look up the Vi Loading Screen. Sadly almost noone has ever reacted to Vi's song. ;)
