Firstly, he's white! Secondly, you're trying tell this decades old message to a group who are mainly blacks that fill these county jails and both state and federal prison systems who they're being "raised" by who in these "communities" again? While these same females are procreating with the same type of son's from another household in the same exact environment while everything is being painted to these innocents as "normal living". Joining a street gang, committing crimes, getting into trouble, going to jail, being influenced by these rappers, being taken care of and sometimes becoming a somebody in jail vs. the real world is gratifying to these individuals. These "communities" will spend more money and provide more support/praises a prisoner than a student in college that graduated or a military soldier.

This interview was imperative for all young men, ESPECIALLY “cultured” men or black men who are constantly egged on to be tough, bad guys, etc. This is what you’re in store for if you walk down that path. A blood filled road, take heed because shit is real and everyone on the outside won’t even care when you’re locked up regardless
@blacksunday42312 жыл бұрын
I've been thinking this for a while, staying out of trouble and not getting caught up on having a pointless reputation and image on the streets is something that hasn't been covered yet, and it's something a lot of black and latino youth (a large chunk of F&F's audience) go through in their teens and early adulthood.

Fresh's reaction to hearing those prison stories was everyone else's reaction at home watching this episode. Reality is crazier than fiction no doubt. W guest.
@blacksunday42312 жыл бұрын
Fresh's reactions show that he's had a relatively sheltered life, which isn't bad, you can just tell that world was totally foreign to him. People who have grown up in similar areas as Jake, or that come from a similar background, weren't surprised at all by his stories, a lot of us of heard it from childhood friends that went on the wrong path or from our cousins/uncles.
@Vladlll2 жыл бұрын
@@blacksunday4231 His reaction was not sheltered it’s was normal. Ppl aren’t running around getting stabbed over dumb shyt, or fuckin men in the ass on the daily. This is why hardened prisoners find it so hard to adjust in the civilized world.
@blacksunday42312 жыл бұрын
@@Vladlll going through what Jake went through is not normal, I agree, but hearing about it isn't that abnormal either. We know Fresh has lived a sheltered life, he has stated that plenty of times, I guess I'm just not used to seeing his type of reaction.

I love that Myron as former law enforcement welcomes a convicted felon on his podcast and I love that a former felon became successful and was willing to sit next to a former cop after experiencing what prison is like. They both respected each other's path to success even on total opposite ends. This is how it should be. Both are successful, productive members of society. It shows people no matter what your circumstances are you can always change your situation and make it better.

Everyone needs to see this on their journey to becoming a man. So everyone can see and hear what goes on when you choose that life, to be labeled as “real” and be “the man” this comes with it. No one there to help you with lawyer fees, money on your books, let alone probably the same one taking you on your licks, he said himself, was snitchin on him. Take notes young people. This interview is wisdom, and I respect both sides and where you both came from, and what was created with you guys sitting down together. Thank you for this
