I absolutely LOVE your work! I tried to make a galaxy pendant, and 2 things happened...1, the alcohol ink just sat on top of the resin, and 2, the resin never cured! I followed your steps, but obviously something went wrong. Do you have any ideas? Thanks.

It could be the ratio of resin that makes it not cure. The one I use is a 1:1 resin by amount rather then weight, but then there's 2:1 or 3:1 resins. Or if you used UV resin it won't cure unless you either put it in direct sunlight or us a UV light! It could also be the amount of ink used. I know it you add too much paint in resin it doesn't like to cure so it could be the same with the ink! And to it not sinking it might be the white ink. Some white inks aren't heavy enough and don't sink causing the pretty color fall! I hope this helps!

Hey ! I hv advice for you! Instead of leaving the epoxy resin to dry for 48 hours, u could use a UV flashlight and in just a few mins it will be hardened !

I know Sophie and Toffee sells mini hand drills, both ones that you twist like in the vid or semi automatic ones with a spring, for a pretty good price! And after drilling you can put an eye screw in though if you're using circle caps you don't need to drill it just attach with a strong adhesive or even resin. Hope this helps!

This is resin and alcohol ink, using silicone molds. The molds are inexpensive but the ink and resin can be pricey. You'll need a respirator and gloves when you work with resin (they don't do that in this video but trust me, the fumes are strong even when you can't smell them. It can do permanent damage. A ventilated room is sometimes enough for some resins.). I don't recommend the plastic cup but instead getting silicone cups. Resin cures by heating up after the two parts have been mixed and if you don't work fast and have some leftover in the cup it will begin to smoke and melt the cup which just makes a mess. You'll honestly want a heat gun to remove bubbles too.

I wonder why the white seems to drop to the bottom so much faster than the other colors. It almost seems as though it it needed to help move them down to the base of the mold. I gotta get that egg shaped mold...I have the gem one.

im following step by step but the result is not near it. all the colors just mix up and gets ugly.i dont get the "drop" effect and it is not transparent at all.all the color is mixed up to the resin. any ideas what is the problem? (48 hours resin and the same brand inks and molds)

Nikoskk9 your resin is more than likely too warm. Room temp too high. So the resin is not viscous enough. The warmer the resin the more it flows and mixes.

First of all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! 🎄 You know I love your channel, so I need your expertise...I tried to do this with the egg mold. My shirts alcohol ink ended up going all the w a y to the bottom and leaving big white blotches on the other end of the egg. I used 'A' white and 'C' white, both of them did this. Am I using too much white? And instead of the white taking the color down too, the colors stayed around the top and middle. It's like the white just took over. Can you help? I am using humiliate resin, 1 to 1 ratio. Would really appreciate your assistance with this, if you have time. Thank you, Pam 😬

You need to leave the resin to thicken a little for 40 - 50 minutes and then the dye will not be able to reach the bottom. Try adding paint after 30, 40 or 50 minutes.

Very good! I have these molds but will have to try it with my UV resin. I am not able to do two part in the house and it's not 70 degrees till spring. Update, the ink didn't drop in my UV resin but just laid in a clump at the top.

I really like the results you got from the first set when you used less colors that matched better. I think you might get some better results using some higher quality inks. And you probably need to use a few more drops of white to help the color sink. This is just from what I've seen and what I've heard from talking to people.

The alcohol ink prevents the resin to dry, it never hardens! And i have the same chinese brand. My resin is 12 hrs. If i put more than 2 drops is a sticky nightmare 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ help pls xD
