I’m class of 2021. I remember being scared on my first day of hs lol. No matter who u turn out to be you’ll get used to it. Just don’t smoke or drink. It’s gonna seem tempting but I promise people burnout after hs because of it. I’ve seen it first hand.

The fame got to her head and she became toxic. I was around them too so I became toxic too obviously. My freshman year was pretty good. Minus all the stress. Make sure you TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN! Drink loads of water, wash and moisturize every day! Use chapstick every morning. Always wash your mascara off or you’ll get a reaction and go to school with puffy eyes. Trust me, from experience. Also, the thing that made my year amazing, was my band family. Idgaf about being popular or if people like me. the only people who cared about me were my band fam. If y’all newbies are going into band, make amends there. That is the only safe place I had last year. 😂❤️

As someone in the class of 2020, definitely stay on top of your grades freshmen year because it does affect your placement and where you’ll be in the future and you’ll want wiggle room when classes get harder (junior year). Get involved in things and like she said, do know that friends will change, but everything works out in the end!

Gabby :3 no bother at all! In my opinion, apes is one of the easier classes and it looks extremely good to colleges to start ap classes freshmen year (something i didn’t do but regret) so I think you should stick with it and get a feel if it’s too much for you personally, and if you are too stressed out then you can drop it. But one class is definitely doable and I’m sure it’ll work well. It might be a little tough at first due to its fast pace but I promise you get used to it!

I say go to school the first day with like nothing (a pencil and some paper), because you aren't going to be doing a lot anyway. And ask each teacher what you need, then get it all the next day.

Sangeeta Quddus don’t come with just a paper and pencil, bring maybe a small binder with some loose leaf and a black pen, pencils, a highlighter and a red pen at least. A teacher should be able to supply glue/tape/ scissors if you don’t have any and you can take notes on what your teacher tells you to bring and what you need for their class

I’d say if you need notebook for a class, you can get notebooks with built in folders so you can store worksheets. But if you don’t need a notebook for that class, just use a folder. The key is to make as much room as possible and make your backpack as light as possible.

And for a lot of classes, you’ll likely not use the entire notebook, so you can get a multi-subject notebook to use for 2 or more classes or you can just get a notebook and split it into different subjects!

i completely understand the maturity thing. i’ve always been more mature than my friends and other kids i’ve grown up with so ive always had the feeling like i don’t fit in and it’s made some situations pretty hard because of the difference in our maturity. just know ur not the only one feeling like that:)
