BEST music in this movie. Got the whole thing memorized! Always loved Spirit. Funny thing, mustangs really are that smart. My mare, Jenna, was an absolutely brilliant horse, never broken, always wild, kinda like him, but I used gentling instead of breaking, so we were friends, she was a good ride, and a best buddy. Devious and goofy till the day she died.

Called me a little bit old fashioned but I so much prefer this style of animation. It is so much more vivid and beautiful than with today CGI animation movies. Yes they present amazing feats of technology also and I know that the work it takes is immense. However I am a 90 kid and I have grown up in the Disney Renaissance era and Dreamworks beginings and for me today animated movies are lacking and unmemorable. i Still remember fondly The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the beast fondly as well as Dreamworks old masterpiece The Prince of Egypt...even Spirit was a staple of the films in our house and it was so loved by my baby brother and he wanted to watch " the horsey movie" that it could easily have run multiple times a day every day of the week. Even if we weren't watching the TV with him only by the beginning notes of the music we could situate the moment exactly where it was supposed to be. The blacksmith scene and the canyon jump were some of my favorite scenes from the movie and it really had a lot of them
@Shsy757319 күн бұрын
I completely agree. I love classic 2D animation, it’s got so much emotion and depth and it makes some of the best movies. It’s like comic/story books come to life and even though some modern day CGI movies ARE pretty breathtaking and technology has come a long way, that doesn’t mean this style is any less amazing.

I love this. I'm old fashioned, but born in the 2000s. I have loved all the older DreamWork movies, my mom got me into all of them. Spirit and Prince of Egypt are my favorite ones by far. When I was younger, I would always pretend to be a wild horse running with Spirit. It was so fun. I miss being younger. This movie brings me so many memories. This and others made by DreamWorks.

@johanna70965 ай бұрын
There are basically no „true“ wild horses anymore. Mustangs are descants of the horses the Spanish brought with them (and some other domestic horses nowadays). Individuals are not really „meant to live“ a specific way. For example: pigs are not meant to be slaughtered. They are meant to live a good life!
@wolf-kissedrosie695 ай бұрын
If people had your way of thinking we wouldn’t have any pets. 🤷♀️ Dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, even horses, etc all came from wild ancestors that were tamed and altered to get what we have now. As a matter of fact, the world was built from the saddle of a horse. Horses were the backbone of all the world. Horses became an important part of human history and helped pave the road to where we are now. Be grateful.

I just want to appreciate the writing of the underhanded strategy this man used. The leader (whatever he was) let his men try to tame the horse, and potentially make a fool of themselves while exhausting Spirit. If he was tamed before the post by his men, great-wasn’t worth more effort on his part. But after they have a go, he weakens Spirit further with “the post,” and then tries to tame him, making himself look superior in the eyes of his subordinates if he succeeds.

This reminded me of when i was a social worker.. people who dont understand Structure.. rebel when structure is about “breaking” people and power.. rather then a place to find Consistency out of wild. I think ive seen wild be chaos.. and only appreciated structures when wild was Like nature.. untamed.. ur at the mercy of the elements.. while too much structure feels reginented for the Simple reason of Someone tells you when wnd how to do something but cant tell you why…. Its budhism that Keeps reaching for balance of both…. taming what needs tamed. But recognizing what doesny belong in a structure.. cuz Its been wild for a reason. In Deciding i want routines and structure that can be explained to a child…. In simplicity.. and Wild as community who Are Kind And dont try doninate and submitt like were animals…. If you ever see someone “buck up” against your system.. its them Telling you something ur doing feels unfair and pointless.. and if you csnt explain it to them .. then your “rules” of operation are Not where You would want them to be.. cuz if all you can say or do is “chz i said so” or “cuz thats what i was told” .. its not knowing whys/wise…. You gain whys and change systems .. recognizing what doesnt makes sense/cents and “change” it…. In 100 years were gonna be the “primitive” .. might as welm be able to say .. we Were less primitive then 200 years ago.. Without forgetting where we came from so we dont Repeat Doninate and submit.. in favor of making things make so much sense that horses.. like in this movie wanna be tied to you.. cuz its About What feels natural .. brotherhoods and Community feel more natural .. For a reason. So if a horse rears up.. remember whos riding.. or who sadled them with something they reject.. you might have thought you were a Horse with no name and realized you were a stable hand in a world of regiments.. that lack understanding in orders.. and do as they are told rather then think. And you might Be 50 cent…. Just buck’kin the system just horsen around.. you might have someone roped in cuz You show how to reach the sweetest fruits.. or get lost and find ur self in a fense with someone putting shoes on you .. Jackie chan taught me to play along.. we can figure it out along the way.. everyone pulls stunts and has scars to show for it. its about thinking about that being like a weird animal and packin that lil one around making it an adventure .. no one wants to be the bad guy.. but that soldier went home to a wife who Was angry with the horses mouth.. and That mother horse worried why he didnt come home..
