on the artisan website, it mentions the "Speed and Texture may differ depending on the color variation". Just something to look out for while comparing the fastness/hardness since your mid is orange and your XL is white.

Neat seeing you do a shidenkai review I didn’t think it was your kinda pad. I’m actually super super happy they brought it back the og was my main pad and I went through tons them but it’s perfect for apex comp and ow but was also solid in val (never did cs) but it fills this void that speed cloth pads and glass pads just don’t hit for me. The only downside about the v2 is that they don’t do the strawberry milk color anymore but the daidai color is alright

Just picked up two of these myself in x soft along with a soft zero and xsoft raiden. Shidenkai has stayed on my desk since it got here. It doesn't feel fast at all to me. Maybe because I am used to other Artisan pads, but for me it is the perfect combination of speed and control and I love the feeling of the surface.

Perfect timing. Recently bought a Shidenkai V2 mid and was having tracking issues with my Basilisk V3 Pro, Viper mini 8k and my new Pulsar H2X medium - not a clue as to why but ik for a fact when I place my mouse down too flat it freezes until I move it for a few millimetres and will fail to track if I swipe my mouse from side to side (almost acting like a mouse accel where my curser would end up in a different spot than my hand). Only method I’ve found to mitigate this issue was changing my LOD from 2mm to 1mm (weird going lower helps with my freezing issue). It’s consistent across the whole pad. Although I should mention I did try Superglide V2s on the pad for a week or so and could see clear wear into the pad but the issue never seemed to be on those wear spots - I’ve given the pad a wash to hope that it’s just some glass fragments messing with the sensor. I’ll pop an edit to say if using Glass skates on this pad could in fact ruin it or if I just got a faulty pad. Slight bit of a waffle but info’s info 👍

This same thing occurred with my pulsar x2 mini and hayate otsu xsoft where the sensor would spinout on the default LOD settings. I’m wondering if other artisan pads are plagued with this issue too.

@@Cdustt Interesting, what kinda “spin-out” issue did u have? I had an Artisan Hein Xsoft to test with and had 0 spin out issues, it’s just bizarre that all 3 of my mice had the same issue on the Shidenkai V2 mid - I’ve got my eyes set on a Cerapad Kin rn anyway as its peaked my interest beyond belief.

@@ViberzRL the cursor would randomly flick to the other side of the screen. It kept occurring randomly until I changed the default LOD setting on my X2 mini.

as a shidenkai lover myself, i am very happy to finally have them back. on the other hand, i know you usually focus on iems when it comes to audio reviews, but the audeze mm-100 recently came out and it looks to be a ~$500 headphone that could very well make its way onto your wallhack certified tier list. a review on those would be awesome if possible. love the videos as always.

Do you have any issues with the orange mid collecting oils from your hand? My black mid gets spotty after a session and I have to wipe it down with a microfiber cloth to get rid of them. Not a huge issue obv but pretty annoying. Also, to help artisan mids stick to my desk better I use small squares of packing tape and place them on my desk where the corners of the pad will be and make sure to press down on those areas of the pad when I am laying it down on the desk. Easily removable, they don't damage the desktop, and it makes the mids stick like glue. Must be something with the mid base on a slick surface but they become rock solid after that.

My Waizowl Cloud (Sensei Clone) is not tracking on my 1 year used Vancer Ice mouse pad. Tried 3 different skates and it doesn't track. On other pads tracks normally. I wonder if it will track normally in the Shidenkai V2. Since it's glass infused too, i'm afraid to buy one and have the tracking issues like in the Vancer Ice.

Honestly. I just tried the glass ASUS pad. Holy it’s good. But I like the shidenkai v2 performance I have and the performance I have in the skypad. It’s hard to pick one or the other. If I had to choose one to keep…. Yikes it’s a coin flip
