Good clip full of good tips, mate I thought that the hard body lures were too big but seeing the size of the Barra I guess that they would be a good idea. Also, do you crimp your hooks? Also when you drop a fish do cast at the place that you dropped the fish or do you target back at the original spot. Again thanks for taking the time to make good clips mate. @@JohnFrazer-jb9oi gday mate. Yeah for this time of year they’re on the bigger side but the water has warmed considerably in the last week, so was worth a go. As far as hooks Im sure your referring to flattened Barb’s, and yeah sometimes I do mate, depending on lure and lure weight. The heavier the lure the easier it can be for them to throw as they thrash their head. I target where I originally cast most times, depending on how far they have traveled out from the snag to hit it, and also if they felt weight or hook point which normally spooks them. If I cast back to the original casting spot then there is a chance there are others there ready to go due to the activity. Hope this answers your questions buddy. Cheers hey. 👌🏻

Love the vid, I love pike fishing in the UK and I've always been mega keen to fish for Barra. The crocodiles seem scary though, how do you deal with them?

The simple rule is ‘if you don’t give them an opportunity, they can’t take one’ Being aware of where you stand etc is a big part, but even then when we’re watching some of the footage back we think, ‘That was a risky spot’. I’ll bet you enjoy the Pike stuff as much as we do the Barra and Jacks mate. 👌🏻😉

Are the fresh water creeks you fish in branches off of a big river like the Ross or bohlie or a random river on a mates property, or a mix
