My gaming group is eclectic. We play lots of different genres and themes. We seem to like/appreciate 'theme', especially. So, when I watched this review, I immediately knew this was a game for us. I eventually managed to get a copy, and I brought it, eagerly, to the gaming table and the results were exactly as I expected. It was a unanimous 'hit'! For us, this game captures the idea of what fishing is all about and delivers it in a neat 'dice drafting' package. We all loved playing it (especially our 'actual' fishermen)... it's easy to learn but still manages to last long enough to allow for some planning and a modicum of strategy. It really is a treat to play. The way the river refreshes every turn (with fish hatchery moving down the river) is just one example of how the designer built game mechanics that so beautifully replicate the 'feel' of Fly Fishing. The designer has, in our opinion, managed to adeptly incorporate that 'fisherman experience' into a fun gaming experience that any board game fan can enjoy and appreciate. We love this... I'm a BGG 8 out of 10 on this (the rest of my gaming group might be higher). This video playthrough really does give a true and entirely believable (and enjoyable) overview of what this game offers. Highly recommended (whether you like fishing or not!). Thank you, Francis and Anthony, for guiding us towards such a fun game!

I want to point out that the new mic for Frances has made the audio perfect. She comes out clear now and the video is great! Thanks for taking that into consideration. This was a great playthrough for this game. I like drafting games and this one looks very interesting.

I would roll a black die before reeling to see if it gets anything below or equal the drag, if the drag is not covered up. To simulate the fish manage to break away.

Around the 38:00 mark, Anthony landed a steelhead and didn't take the rock card. The next round, Francis landed a fish in the same spot and took that last rock card.

Sorry to hear that you guys will no longer be covering games and all the stuff surrounding it. I loved how you all would feature games other than the newest Kickstarter stuff. I would have never known about this game had I not stumbled into this play through a few weeks back. Bought it today as a way to say thanks for all your efforts. I understand not wanting to continue this format, but I do wish you would reconsider taking down all your content as I feel it has great value to future gamers. Either way, best of luck on your new channel.

Yeah, the entire last round shouldn’t have happened, meaning Anthony wouldn’t have landed his 6th fish.

What happens when there’s no more rock cards to draw? Geezzz I’v seen 3 different videos and in every one, someone plays part of this game different. So I dunno who’s olaying right or wrong. Momentum tokens… when do you explain those. Ugh… onto the next video
