I have seen operations alternate between prawn and catfish. The catfish "poo" is food for the prawn so it keeps the ponds productive

Why not just seine them out of the pond or at least out of the area near the pipe as they get crowded up there? Seems like it would be a lot more cost effective than paying a bunch of people to wander around picking up individual animals.
