The reason why they put Pikmin against Lethal Company is because the gameplay loop of Lethal Company is very similar to Pikmin 2, where Olimar and Louie have to spelunk into caves on an alien planet to collect treasure for a space company, which has fallen into an immense debt. What further adds to the comparison is that they have to leave the planet before sundown, as nocturnal predators would make it too difficult to traverse, which Lethal Company is quite similar to.

as someone who has 1.6k hours in lethal, you do NOT need mods to enjoy this game i have some visual preference mods, and some mods to fix major bugs, but i barely play with anything that adds new content or alters existing, most of my hours are a vanilla+ experience

Dandori issue was a joke because in Pikmin 4 there are challenges referred to as "dandori challenges", which is basically more Pikmin. So the fandom says when you suck at pikmin, you have a "dandori issue." What i DON'T get is...olimar is happily married. The family loves him, he loves the family. Sure his job makes him go off for a while, and he has a big habit of crashing into things, but the family is not an issue

Actually if you look into all the dialogue in the games like Olimar's logs, it's implied that Olimar has some marital issues with his wife, but he still loves her regardless.

@Nman-zx2hh i checked both pikmin 1 and Pikmin 4, the most that happens is olimar has an issue with being told to "calm down", and his wife wants him to cook more. I wouldn't say that necessarily issues, just a bit of a sore spot

For me, I think at 10:56 when The President says, “People pay for your game, and pass out in 5 minutes” He’s saying that the game is so boring, or repetative that after 5 minutes people stop playing it. Possibly adding onto the bar about adding mods earlier in the rap… I could be wrong but, that’s how I see it

So Dave when you asked for someone to help understand the bar about passing out in five minutes is that even you said it yourself the game is kind of boring without mods because all you have is one objective and one objective only,also I haven’t checked the amount the game costs yet but people have also complained about how it isn’t worth it and that they pasted out after five minutes of playing because there was nothing to it,so ya hope that helps

It’s a weak diss. Lethal Company out the gate had the streamers and players alike in a chokehold, so it’s just not true. That’s aside, mods would almost make ANY game more enjoyable than the base, as that’s the whole point of mods, no matter how good the base game is. And that’s the reason I mentioned Elden Ring. That game is fantastic, but mods made it better imo (custom powers, harder bosses, QoL changes, etc)

@whatitdodave And I disagree. I get quality of life mods or improving graphics. But when players have to add more game modes and powers to find a game enjoyable... again... was it any good to begin with. At best it had so little content and replayability that players needed to invent new ways to keep it fresh. Same problem we had with Among Us, very fun game to play... for the first week at most... until you gotta add more mods to justify playing on the same map for the 100th time.

Pikmin is a bit... restraining or constraining or something, with how you can only work during the DAY. and it's a limited timeframe for you to gather food. (i liked the game, but hated it at the same time; same relationship with Stardew Valley.)
