Y'know, I honestly can't tell whose hear was the greatest, everyone did good. And I love the voice for Dracula in this. All around, awesome job! Y'know who deserves to be morbed into a rap battle? Arceus vs. Amaterasu (Pokemon vs. Okami). I suggested Arcanine at first, but I think it's more fitting that the four-legged god and goddess of their worlds get into a rap battle. Okay so... i think Morbius unironically won this. And I'm gonna prove it bar for bar. Dr Morbius' first verse -Even if the start is built on the fact that the good reviews were just memes, he believes it and comes in with such confidence and swagger that it actually works as lines that build up the rapper -He starts talking about how he's already winning despite not saying anything then throws in a relevant reference to Castlevania and a quick diss with "axed in half. I'll call him Discount" -"You're a granddad who's chasin' and ransackin' ladies who can't act like they were aroused" The entire line just pointed out that Dracula kidnapped women and calling him a creep and rapist. -"Drac' captured dames that span half his age, but couldn't captivate a damn crowd" Morbius then follows this with another diss on the topic saying that Drac seems to keep targeting young women. Also that his movies suck. -The rest is just build up and flex lines ending with "Morbius" Dracula's first verse -Dracula starts his first turn with a snapchat joke. A light diss while also acting as setup for the next bar -His next line is saying Morb looks pale and references Monster Energy. Nothing crazy so far -"I'll wear on my necklace after I turn you neckless" Not a thing Dracula actually does in any interpretation but this is another light flex/punch line. Still nothing super crazy -"who'd think to give you trash an Oscar?" Super short line dissing the movie. -The next line is really just dissing the movie rather than the character... ya know, the guy he's supposed to be rapping against. But he does basically say that Morbius' film and the company responsible for the movie is a trash version of Marvel. -"You're only delivering when you're mailing used condoms" A line against Morbius' actor, Jared Leto! A strong diss! The only one he's made so far. -"I took your babe and flew into my province! I must be MC Hammer 'cause she's getting nailed in my coffin" Super fun line. Actually made me chuckle on first listen. But Morbius already called him a creep, kidnapper, and rapist. This line has less punch and becomes way more creepy than a standard "I fucked your girl" line. It was already dismantled before he said it. Dr Morbius Part 2 -Has a line of what i think is referencing how the movie returned to theaters. Again, he believes his own hype and is all in so it actually works. Then does a quick diss against the music score's in Dracula's movies. -"Your fart cloud ass stands no chance, so change your form in time" ...Dracula stinks. Both literally and in the battle. A very crude way to word it by him but its a double entendre referencing how in some interpretations, Dracula turns into a puff of smoke or "cloud" when transforming. -Then he... then he said the thing. He said the meme thing. To be fair, he was talking about transforming and Morbin Time sounds like Morphin Time so it still kinda fits but thats neither here nor there -Morbius changes up his flow and immediately goes into a buildup line "Chorus of screams for More to the B" -Gives another diss to Dracula's character saying that -"Bring gore to the streets But according to the lore that I read While your enemies formed in a league You're a dork staying indoors for a week When you warred with the three, you were forced to retreat" Morbius flexes that he's killing people in the streets but also sets up a diss to Dracula's character. The moment his foes had gathered, Dracula just hid indoors. Then after, he lost the battle and had to leave. Basically saying Drac is weak and a coward -"So go get me a new foe I can beat" Dissing Dracula's character after reciting what happened to him. Saying that he is already beaten in this battle and that Drac isnt hot shit. Dracula Part 2... also Edward -Dracula calls up Edward, saying he knows true cinema. Which... is a compliment to Twilight. Which I was not expecting. -"Jared, you should method act as a better rapper" A diss against the actor again. A good diss too with Leto's history of trying to be a method actor. Edward follows with another light diss with the cult classic line. A reference to accusations of Leto trying to start a cult at one point while also saying that he needs to have a good performance in a good movie. -"Left theatres more empty than Stewart's performances" ...Edward... disses his own film? Also Morbius (the film) but... yeah thats weird. -"All that Morbius is fillin' screens wit' is more BS!" After all this time, they finally somewhat attack and acknowledge Dr Morbius! The character they were supposed to be rapping against! And its with a great pun too but why did it take this long to diss literally anything about the opponent?? -"You sure that your disease was cured? You got them rabies, kid" I... I assume this is a reference to the fact Dr Morbius bites people now? They're all vampires and they all bite so I sort of have to assume this is what it means. -"CGI came out lookin' worse than my baby did" Edward disses his own movie again to diss the Morbius film. It really didn't need to be a Twilight character saying these things but it is so I'm not sure who this point goes to for this line. -The next line just references a mockumentary and then gives a great diss to Leto. Still not Dr Morbius. But... eh Dr Morbius actually attacks Dracula. He raps against Dracula. Drac' meanwhile, just sort of attacks the movie Dr Morbius was in. It's weird. It's like someone rapping against Eminem or something and only ever talking about his performance in 8 Mile and that movie. Not the rapper. Just... the movie. And most of Drac's punchlines were pretty light compared to Morbius calling him a rapist, kidnapper, and a coward. There is a lot to diss about Dr Morbius, the character. Just by taking things he does in the film. It's very strange. Morbius won, guys. Or at least... the one person reading this hour long comment...

@@TippedScale Yeah thats kinda the problem Morbius doesn't have ANY character to be used as an insult during the rap battle, hence why this morbius was more based on the actual movie itself. HENCE why Dracula aimed for said insults at the MOVIE. Its trying to give Morb a reality check and when that didn't work, he'd just call up the other most well-known movie to bring up vampires: Twilight.

Funnily enough, I went into HMV and bought 'The Dracula Legacy Collection'... and Morbius; awesome battle, both Dracula (and the third rapper) fucking destroyed Morbius and I loved all the little disses ranging from Leto, as a person, the weird choices within Morbius, Sony themselves, and the word-play with 'Morbius'. I wished you'd have confronted Dracula to Duncan McLeod in a battle of immortal beings. From a creator's perspective, it would have opened way more doors for puns and efficient one-liners, given both characters' backgrounds are different enough, not being both vampires. From a marketing perspective, this very battle could have blown up in the next couple of years, knowing that a remake of Highlander is being discussed in Hollywood : that would have been a better investment of your time (let's think long term here). Complaint aside, the production quality in this video is what we'd expect from you and your network pals : seriously well done, as usual. It's been said countless times by several other users before, but your team deserves way more recognition.

Real talk? Past all the Morbius memes, i find BMB's artstyle rather entertaining for animated rap battles, the way he combines snappy movement with absurd (bordering on the edge of slapstick-level) expressions and smear frames (i believe he used some?) makes for an entertaining series of visuals that makes me feel less like i'm watching something derived from only the most absurd media one could imagine. Not that i'm arguing or anything, i just like what he does for visuals and stuff.
