Very nice! If I wasn’t retired from building guitars, I would have this setup. I made a fixture to put on my milling machine and would roll the neck. Only problem was I needed to remove/replace the vice every time, and that was a pain to do.

To get true radius with this jig the tip of the router bit can't go lower than the jig radius. If you lower it more the radius will be smaller

It's a 6mm aluminum staf with open center. There will fit a 4mm pearl dot.

Do you lower the router bit so it touches the centre of the fretboard? Or slightly lower?

The routerbit is lowered in the center of the fretboard to the depth which provides the desired fretboard thickness. Keep in mind that routing 2-4mm off the top is no problem if it is more then that, I would suggest first flattening the board so you can route within those margins.

Love this jig!!! just got mine - can't wait to assemble it and carve hard woods loke purple heart that used to make want to kill myself when sanding the radius on them.

I don't understand why anyone would build a Tele neck when you can buy them on ebay for $50

I guess it's the same as why you make anything instead of buying it, it's the challenge, the sense of achievement, the pride of ' I made that ' , the attraction of ' hand made ' against massed produced Chinese imports and sometimes some people have some materials but not $50 to spare.
