Just sitting here in awe of how he can use the absolute minimum amount of harmony at just the right spots to turn a melody into an arrangement...

The crazy thing is that his speech style is identical to his playing. Sort of quiet and halting but pleasant. He looks like it pains him to get the words out.

That’s because he’s thinking how it’s going to sound before he actually plays it I believe. Unlike most players who are playing patterns they have already learned.

"Someone told Chet Atkins, "Man, that guitar sure sounds good!" Chet set the guitar down on a chair and asked him, "Ok, how does it sound now?"" Incredible player. Made me think of this quote looking at the guitar lol

I've heard a similar story about Jascha Heifetz; supposedly, someone complimented him on how wonderful his Strad had sounded in that evening's concert, whereupon Heifetz pulled the instrument out of its case, held it up to his ear, and said, "Funny--I don't hear anything!" An excellent point regardless of the actual source.

Years ago I was taking my family up to Fayetteville AR one weekend to hang out with a group of friends, and my daughter was playing a band called Earth on her Spotify over Bluetooth. I said "man, that really sounds like Bill Frisell." So my daughter looked it up, and then asked me, "how did you know that?" I said, "because it sounds like Bill Frisell!" I had never heard the Earth album before...

B.B. King said more than once he wished he had written Pledging My Love (Johnny Ace) and Johnny Clyde Copeland, the Texas Twister said more than once he wished he wrote Z.Z. Hill's song titled Down Home Blues. To me, Stardust is perfect. At the end of the world, and the end of everything, every day, there is Hoagy Carmichael's Stardust, the most appropriate and versatile song of love and all that surrounds its expansion around us till the end, that end, that may not even exist, but Stardust, in memory of Jerome Darr, Johnny Smith and Eddie Lang, with great reverence, I believe, here.

I used to think my music wasn't 'liked' because I was using equipment that came standard with the PC or tablet i was using, but that feeling went away after realizing that couldnt possibly be why I'm also ignored when I post anything else too. Except for posts that I make about being ignored on Facebook I'm ignored, but strangers will comment on those. Clearly this must be all paid for by someone and that determines who gets liked and who doesn't get likes, but I don't even get views on my videos that I know about. The only views I see that are counted are from the times i seem to make by watching them. I mean, could it possibly be that since 2009 when I posted my first song, I've had less than 150 views on it? I guess so. I guess it's possible. I guess it's also possible for this video I'm commenting on to get 50k views in a few days time or less. Sure, it's possible. Well, I noticed your guitar has drawings on it. By me noticing that it probably indicates I'm the only real person commenting on your video.
