Great work Mitch, it's cool to see another production of yours documenting your time and experiences as a garbo and the different vehicles and roles you've experienced. Keep up the fantastic work both on the streets and on KZbin!

Woah! A first time I see a modern looking and working refuse truck on this channel. Good boom to take on the bins when lifted and modern looking lifter with fully automated packagin cycle with BUTTONS. And it does not seems to rev like hell when working, so bit by bit the modern trucks are coming over to Aus also and displace those third world looking and sounding vehicles :)

Aussiegarbo you don't suppose this is the company that does the Easy care gardening rubbish collection! I was also told that the sub contractor who collects them also brings a ute with a trailer and they collect the bagged and bundled green waste in that, it would definitely be a small garwood rear like this if they do use are garbage truck! Veolia in Ryde and Kur ring gai, Urm in hunters hill and Cleanaway Hornsby only collects them as part of a booked council cleanup thought!

Hey Mitch Do you got time to head up to Townsville and film there garbage trucks. Townsville city council has DAF’S, DENNIS EAGLES, IVECO STRAILS and there starting to get brand new Mercedes trucks. However magnetic island only has 1 truck and that is the single axle superior pak Dennis eagle.

Please see my reply to you on the 16AS part 2 video and respond ASAP.

No, I don't have time to video trucks in Townsville. I've already told you I'm not going around everywhere to film garbage trucks anymore. I only capture what I want to and easily can, please don't ask me about videos again.

When I saw the title said “Fretus” I was expecting to see an ACCO JP5 as the thumbnail, disappointed mate. You forgot to mention how good the lifter teeth are on the Garwoods, you don’t need to be real precise with your bin placement, the way they’re shaped means they just slide on when you raise the lifer. With an UrBin or SPAK you gotta be wacking those bins on with precision! I’m currently driving a newer version of this body at the moment on clean ups, newest truck in our fleet. I quite like the compacts, the newer version features an upgraded control panel, means you don’t need to use your full wing span to hold the bins onto the lifter while one hand is on the buttons lol. I’m sure you’ve already figured it out but in case you haven’t, you can just fit x3 240s on the lifter, deforms the bin on one side on mine cause we got the runner grab handles in the way. How good are the Hinos too, I love how the hazard toggle switch is on the steering stalks, better then leaning across the dash to flick em on like in an ACCO lol. Just wish they had a bit more go to them, great on a smaller body like the compacts but a with a fully loaded maxipact body it’ll take you about 3 business days to get to 60km/h. Another quality video mate 👌🏻

Sorry to disappoint mate, my last RL uploads were of JP5s, so I couldn't go and do the same again, just imagine the insanity on my part! Who knows when I'll put the Fretus JP5 footage up now but, could be in 6 months, could be in 6 years 😅 Yes good point about the lifter teeth, now that you say that I recall 157 at URM and remember being able to drop the bin however and it'd sit by itself. Guess I didn't realise with the truck in the video coz I've just been so damn accurate placing them in the perfect spot 😝 Funnily enough I never even thought to put 3x 240s on this lifter, so used to only being able to do 2x on the regular truck that it didn't even cross my mind! Don't have a great deal of pick-ups where it's necessary but, mostly singles or pairs, that job at 8:40 is where the most multiple 240s is found. I've wondered about the modern day 6x4 Hinos and moving power, even found the older single axles I drove at Watts all went hard, but that Auburn side arm was the newest big one I've driven and it wasn't too mighty. Would think 10 years later they made some beef up advancements, but perhaps not 🤔 Just as I stated my curiosity at the end of this video's description about using a Maxipact Hino on my run, well it turns out I'll find out in about 6 months, last Monday got informed there's a brand new truck on order for me 🤯 The old ACCO is getting up there in age and costly to keep on the road 💔 However, exciting times ahead with a fresh start 💘

Wow Mitch, I heard about the fretus name back in 2020 when I got sent a picture of RL7 & L27, I take it you drive RL7? L27 looks like a little beast with that Heil body on the back, you’ve definitely covered all bases in terms of companies you’ve worked for, I’d love to see a good video of a maxipak, I saw one whilst on a trip in WA, and was quite intrigued. We have an old 2004 hino garwood that is about to be sold, good condition truck. Very well enjoyed.

Yes, at least I was driving RL7, that truck finished up a month ago, it's at Pickles Auctions as of right now waiting to be sold. The next morning after I posted this video, my boss informed me he was ordering a brand new rear loader for my run, being a 6x4 Garwood/Hino I spoke of in the description, so there ya go! That L27 has a Compaction Systems body, not a Heil, it's also being given a gradual refresher with a new splash of yellow paint. Yep, I have been around a bit with my jobs, lots to experience, but not planning changes anytime soon, it's a great gig that I've got these days...
