I think that when we use the crucifix on some subfloor entity, the guiding light symbol should be replaced by the curious light symbol, since in theory it would be the curious light banishing the entity (although if this were to happen the symbol should change to that of the modifier when we used the crucifix against the figure or seek, taking into account the theory that the red light prohibits the guiding light from banishing those entities)

The red light is just a modifier manager, they lock things to prevent bugs or making badges super easy, they're not neccessarily bad.

No, it should stay Guiding Light. Since Curious Light doesn’t appear at all in the hotel and is only in subfloors, it wouldn’t make sense for Curious Light to magically appear in the hotel. Since it’s Guiding Light’s area, they should crucify the sub-floor entities.
