The direct effects of alcohol are the same whether you drink wine, beer or spirits. There's no evidence that different types of alcohol cause different mood states. People aren't even very good at recognising their mood states when they have been drinking

not completely true, due to beer being quite a "hoppsy" drink it leads to quite lethargic moods when consumed in lare ammounts, not always of course but its more likely to induce that mood, wine is associated with love so even subconciously on some level you feel all loved up because you have that idea somewhere kicking about. Spirits are known to be able to cause extreme moods due to the sheer quantity of alcohol consumed in such short times, although it may not be the alcohol itself there are many variables that impact mood linked to types of alcohol. For example gin, not known to make people aggresive or extremely rowdy. However vodka and tequila are known for those traits. they are the exact same percentage, the difference is no one is going round shotting gin, however vodka and tequila the two most popular shots. Same thing can be said with jaeger, as its more likely to be consumed with red bull, extremely active and hyper moods are more likely to be caused. So you are somewhat right only some alcohol causes certain moods directly but there are many different factors into the mood, not just you putting yourself into said mood
