Freya charms only effects inside orario even if your sleeping or drunk your still get charmed,people outside Orario and inside the dungeon still knows that bell is from hestia familia The goddesses who are immune of charm are the 3 virgin goddess(Hestia, Artemis, and Athena)

Hermes, explain the rest please! - btw, the others were supposed to appear with the rest of hestia familia on the ground, but i guess they needed to save time. 17:18 innate ability is referring to things that gods can do without accessing their arcana. think of it like freya's charm or in this case, hestia's ability to resist that charm since she's one of the virgin goddesses Also, can i glaze for a second? The soundtrack of the whole charm scene is brilliant. The pace is quick and perfectly exemplifies how hestia and them need to act fast, etc. -- btw, freya even had the guild call up the people from riviria(floor 18 town) just so she'd be more thorough with her charm 22:31 so, the location of folkvangr isn't shown til now, but its apparently on top of a hill somewhere in the city? (i'd love it if the author made a proper map of the place, considering how much stuff there is) to be honest, i felt like the pacing was really quick with this ep, especially after re-reading this bit in vol 17. ~70-80 pages in a 320pg book. Kinda nutty to think that the author originally had both this volume and the 18th one(ANOTHER 400 PAGES) as one volume at some point. The roadtrip is gonna be insane with this season of emotions.

Hestia's purview of the sacred flame in Greek mythology makes her extremely important - if we get into conceptual politics, picking a fight with Hestia is picking a fight with family and home and society, which would be a major thematic transgression in a story like DanMachi where Orario is so heavily built around the gods having families. It's an attack on the foundation of your own legitimacy.

Of course not, Xenos and pretty much every adventurers who were in dungeon when Freya charm a whole city don’t get brainwash…yet. Freya Familia has a lot of finishing touch work to do after this.
