To me, the mv seems to be implying (not that any deeper meaning will ever be confirmed officially) that in a world where fans are "happy", V must be single and lonely, and/or hiding a relationship under the guise of "friends". But in a world where he dates someone happily and in public, telling the world his "friend" is much more to him, that is when the "fights" break out all around him. The car crash is self explanatory: "damned if you do, damned if you don't." The end scene reminded me of an old Billy Joel song, called "My Life", in which he states, "They will tell you you can't sleep alone in a strange place; then they'll tell you you can't sleep with somebody else. Ah, but sooner or later you sleep in your own space. Either way it's OK, you wake up with yourself." This means (whatever) choices you make are yours to live with when the morning comes. Anyways, it's probably not that deep, but Taehyung purposefully chose an American producer with a western take (incl risque scenes and LGBTQ+ couples, etc) for this MV, so I think it was intentional. My 2 cents!
