Thanks for your comment Craig. Yes the re-machining of the center is a trick I've used for over 40 years and it hasn't let me down. All the tips and tricks I use have predominantly come from other experienced tradesmen who probably learn't them from there tradesmen when they were young. Thats why I think this exercise Emma and John have challenged us with is great. We all get to pass those little tricks out to a wider audience. Cam

Hey Cam. Good to see you out in the shop again Great Tip to share. Seems there are NO secrets left to keep ? Everyone seems to be posting everything on KZbin, lol. To find true centre again i normally use an End Mill. To bring things back into alignment. Good one to share. Thanks for posting. Peter.

I used this technique on my gearbox shafts for finishing passes Didn't know it was a semi correct method The centre correction is good one to know, cheers
