Today started slow with lots of sleepy pups taking their time to get out of bed. Charlie was much brighter today, a little more himself. Still off his food but was crying out for the bus to arrive and for someone to help him down the hill! Lucky we had his chariot waiting. Thank you Lorraine, it has come in very handy.
Charlie rolled down the hill in his new wheels with his mates Sid and Theo running along side, all the way to the bus. Friday’s pack were roaring with excitement we could hear them as we came down the hill.
Little Minnie the Cocker Spaniel brought her little litter brother Artie along today. Welcome to the farm Artie. Between zoomies, wrestles and chasing each other every which way ... Minnie gave Artie the farm tour.
Frank the Wheaten’s mum made us banana and choc chip muffins with salted caramel brownies. We could hardly wait for afternoon tea ... Rodney didn’t wait, he got into them before they made it to the farm! Can’t blame him for that, they were so delicious thank you Frank’s mum!
Matilda the Cocker Spaniel was on fire off the dock today, so too was new to the game Taz the Wheaten, now diving off all the docks at the farm ... dam, small pool and big pool!
Koda the Malamute was super playful today, playing like a puppy with Uncle Luke.
Happy birthday Coco! Today we celebrated Coco the Chocolate Labrador’s 1st birthday. Coco chose the tea pawty to celebrate and enjoyed a yummy lamb pupuccino and chicken pupcakes with all her farm pals!
Yesterday Luke got a call from Dave the owner of our local Dominoe’s at Tuggerah. We get pizza from there every Friday. Dave told Luke that he’d received an international phone call and the caller had paid for our pizza this week. They wanted to stay anonymous but the message was as follows:
“Have a pawlicious lunch! From those in the USA that are grateful for your daily videos! All the best! Anon.”
Thank you so much to the person that did this for us. It not only warmed Luke and my hearts but all of our staff too, to hear that someone so far away made such an effort to show us this kindness.
In the big pool many dogs keenly jumped in when Luke got in with the lure pole this afternoon. It’s a real favourite for the dogs. It’s practically like having the aquatic version of lure coursing and so you can imagine how much the dogs go nuts for it!
At the end of the day, there was a knock at the door. I look over and there’s a familiar face pressed against the window. Hello Bandit, come on in ... your armchair is ready for you mate. Take 5 before Uncle Luke comes and says those words “c’mon buddy it’s time to go, the bus is ready. We’ll see you again on Monday.”
