Friday chaos in Fells Point, despite demand to city leaders by business owners

Business owners in Fells Point have been complaining about large crowds and illegal parties for several months.
Bryan Buckert and several other owners sent a letter to the mayor demanding action.

Fells Point was my usual hangout spot in Baltimore back in the 90s, but I didn’t go there much at night. Aside from the occasional loud drunk, you didn’t hear of major trouble. The Times They Are A’Changing.

This same exact situation, Fells Point about a year ago maybe two! The business owners were gonna hold back paying taxes. City leadership jumped on it. Here we go again. Apparently the tax threat is the only thing that works. Do it again!!!

There are no police left to do that. They are literally 15 people in the city police academy 15 people, and before them 15 people graduate 30 police will have retired and 10-15 have put in there notice to leave the force QUITTING. You couldn’t pay me a million dollars an hour to police this city FULL OF TRASH in all forms.

In Baltimore the mayor is a Democrat. The city council president is a Democrat. The city council members are all Democrats. The police commissioner is is appointed by city leadership. Baltimore's AG is a Democrat. The issues in Baltimore are not due to racism. The issues are due to culture. They are also the fault of the Democratic Party. The last Republican mayor of Baltimore left office in 1968.
