If you don't have the right to keep personal things regarding your reproductive organs private from the government, then you have no rights at all. You no longer have HIPAA rights, ability to use birth control, marry someone, divorce someone, homeschool your kid, speak to your spouse/lawyer/minister, etc., because the government is now fully allowed to listen in. You also lose the right to be sure in your own property because if you don't have the right to privacy, then the government is allowed to enter your home without a warrant just to look around. The right to freely assemble is also harmed, because who wants to have a meeting about how intrusive or corrupt the government is, if the goberis sitting right there watching you? The right to personal privacy is the underpinnings to almost every single right we have, and the SCOTUS just decided that it doesn't exist. I'm not even a fan of abortion, but I sure am a full supporter of the government staying the hell out of my personal business! SCOTUS just said they don't have to because I don't have the right to get a medical procedure and keep it between my doctor and myself. I guess I shouldn't get a mammogram or colonoscopy now because I don't want the government knowing about my boobs or how my butt looks!

Alex, thank you for delivering news in ASL today! Here are my thoughts regarding the news shared. As for the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, this is a great decision because from the beginning, abortion always has been morally wrong and equates with murder. No man/woman has the right to decide who lives and who does not. The justices who dissented who were Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan were foolish in dissenting because 1) the Supreme Court lacks the understanding on unity and 2) abortion equates with murder and they should realize that themselves. What many women do not realize is there IS a design behind the pregnancy process and thus, a designer behind that design. They should look at what the Designer has to say about all this and if they did, they'd realize that abortion equates with murder. When a baby is murdered due to abortion, that baby will be in Paradise. As for Justice Clarence Thomas wanting the Court to reconsider the three cases, he continues to be foolish just like he was foolish in ruling against New York's strict gun safety law. As for the House passing the gun safety bill, this event is good, however, this bill will not be the solution to stopping gun violence. The root of the problem is the home where parents are not raising their children properly. As for the highlights of the January 6 Committee hearing, this continues to expose the foolishness and lies of Trump and his cronies. This shows the importance of not making lies, even white lies, and adhering to the truth. No lie is of the truth! As for the one year anniversary since the Surfside condo collapse, there is one lesson any building owner can glean from, it is always making sure their building(s) are safe, complies with safety codes, etc. As for UN saying Israeli soldiers killed the Palestinan journalist, again, it is sad when people/countries continue the cycle of hatred, sadness, violence, and death.

I disagree. Women have their rights and men NEED TO BACK OFF. we women will fight harder and we will win eventually. Women have abortion rights. Period.

If your loved one were on life support but they are brain-dead, who should decide if they should remain on life support: you or the government? You just gave the argument that the government should mandate the person live on life support forever, regardless of how it impacts everyone else in the family, rather than letting the family decide what's best for their personal family. I disagree.

Glad that Supreme Court is No longer involved with abortion. Hand to all states. We need to get rid of dept of Education. Best left to each state. We were #1 education in the world before DOE established in 1969. Now our education system is no longer #1. Politicians and Unions too much involved.

Assuming they can afford to travel and have transportation, or that they can get away from their parents, or abusive partners, or take time off work without getting fired, or a hundred other hurdles. It should be treated like boner pills. If you wouldn't force a man to rely on the will of the voters for whether he can get boner pills, or you wouldn't force him to travel out of state, or have a 3-day waiting period, or have extra medical exams, or mandate hs notify his parents, or spouse, or sex-partner, etc., then you shouldn't mandate that a woman go through it to control what happens with her reproductive organs. After all, if God created the pregnancy, then God created the impotence too!
